What’s happening in your house?

[LMNT]

I’ve just had breakfast which was a bowl of sheep’s yoghurt with home made low carb granola.

I’ve already had one coffee and am about to make my second. I plan on reading a bit before starting the next phase of my crochet project.

DH and MIL are already in the kitchen making a complex dish for lunch (they’re Italian) and DD is still in bed after a Barbenheimer extravaganza last night

It will be a slow lazy day here.

Sat with a coffee watching cat videos on YouTube with my Dd, 5 and mum (I’m a dog person)
Mum & dad have been staying with us on holiday, we will drop them at the airport later and they’ll fly home to the U.K.
Will do a quick clothes shop later for an outfit for a mums night out tomorrow, Dh will take Dd to the playground and for an ice cream.
Tonight we’ll either get a takeaway pizza on the beach at sunset or more likely collapse at home after a couple of weeks entertaining

Scrolling on MN with a cup of tea. Dd2 watching Stranger Things, both ds still asleep and will be for a while (ds1 only got.in from work around 12.30). Later ds2 is taking ds1 to the gym and dd2 and I are going to give her and dd1 room a full on clean up. Dd2 is at a friend's house and will be back at some point.

A quiet day.

We've been up for a while just having a chilled morning. DH is on deployment and the weather is naff so it's nice to have time in the house where the DC aren't murdering each other!
They're playing with Lego at the moment and I've just finished creating the packing list for our holiday at the end of this week.
We're heading to the shops later for some new raincoats and welly boots and then probably housework for me and more playing for the DCs. Don't fancy being out in the rain!

Watching the World Cup now.

The dog got me up at 6am so I had a coffee, cuddle, watch them The Big Bang Theory for a bit and then we fell back asleep on the sofa. I’d set my alarm for half 8 to go for a long run but it’s torrential rain so that’s out. I don’t mind running in the rain but there’s rain and then there’s rain. Even the dog didn’t want to go out and he’s a hardy working Labrador, he got soaked just going out for a wee. DH woke about 9 so we had a coffee in bed and I made scrambled eggs and bacon on toast for him and the dog and scrambled eggs on toast for me as I don’t like bacon. DS(14) is still asleep as he was up early for work yesterday and he’s not an early riser. DH is now watching F1 and asking for another coffee. I’m feeling bored and angsty. We’re supposed to be going out for a dog walk with friends this afternoon but it’s not looking likely. Our dog will have to go out at some point regardless but theirs is small and doesn’t need to run like ours does.

Me and dh have just had breakfast (sausages and hash browns) and are now sitting on the sofa still in pjs scrolling.

Dd18 is tidying her room, has just put some washing on and is getting ready for work.

Dd15 is still asleep I assume as I haven’t heard any sound from her room yet today.

It’s very calm and quiet here this morning as dd9 isn’t here - she had a sleepover at her friend’s last night and will need picking up in a couple of hours.

Spent the morning doing not a lot, just had lunch (pork belly, homegrown veggies), waiting for DH and dog to return from their long walk. It’s alternating sunshine and showers here but not cold.
My neck’s very painful so feeling a bit fed up, heat pad isn’t doing much.
I will get my crocheting out in a bit.

Weather is shocking so not much going on here. Lazy day for us. DC are playing on their Xbox. Despite the rain there's a bit of surf so we will all head to the beach later, don our wetsuits and do a bit of bodyboarding/surfing then come home for hot showers and a nice tea.
I am on the sofa being lazy in between sorting out a load of washing that I have nowhere to dry it!

Me and DH just had a 'band practice' - I play bass/guitar and he's a guitarist so it's a very small band! I'm now cosy on the sofa reading with occasional MN distractions. It feels like October - it's pissing down, freezing cold, dark and I have candles lit.

Later I'll bake some bread and watch a film with DH with a cocktail or three. Not decided on which film/cocktails though.

We've had a terrible day but I have really enjoyed reading these :)

These threads are definitely some of my favourites - I find them comforting somehow.

Thank you, I forced myself to get the kitchen cleared and us all washed and out to visit family. I've just finished making a cottage pie for dinner so the kitchen now needs cleaned again 🤦🏻‍♀️😄
