North west here, I've got a full winter outfit on, jeans, long sleeve thick top, just about to go to the supermarket in my coat as well, it's the sort of outfit I'd expect to wear in about October. I literally cannot wait to be in Spain in a few weeks!

South west here and I've got a blanket over me.

I prefer this to it being too hot, though.

On the Yorkshire Coast, it's 15c, been drizzling all day, it's grey , it's depressing.

Wolverhampton. Fire on, thick cardigan, blanket over legs, have gloves nearby, but difficult to turn pages when reading.

Lincolnshire. Had heating on for an hour yesterday just to warm up house. Today sitting with throw over legs and have put a thermal vest on so no heating as yet.

East Midlands too . Had to put a furry throw over the summer bedding last night . Dog is curled up under a blanket. Bloody nesh !!!

I'm in Scotland too and I don't get that people can be so cold down south they are putting their heating on with blankets , wimps 😆.

It doesn't mean cold. It's used to describe someone that feels the cold - a bit of a wimp. I wasn't really calling the OP that I just used it because its an East Midlands word and IYKYK.

South Notts here - it's wet and cold so is particularly dreary and I'm a bit depressed. I've put a vest on, no socks yet but contemplating them. I'm under a heated blanket for heavens sake.

Just walked the dogs. Added a coat and hat to what I was already wearing (long trousers, cardy).
