In principle, I agree but the huge damage that Farage has unleashed on the UK make him a special case in my eyes, doubly so as he and the rest of his compatriots at GBNews are strangely silent at the elephant in the room. Namely, the alleged behaviour as reported by multiple accusers of one Mr Dan Wooton who has spent a profitable career slinging mud and polluting the public discourse with his toxic output. At first glance sounds like the bank person over dinner and maybe after a drink or two confided information with the BBC reporter at the meal that he felt he could divulge. Besides which the time I find myself siding with Farage - even if it was just the time of day is the time I walk off a short plank over deep waters with hungry sharks underneath.

On a commercial point Farage's accounts wouldn't be worth the reputational damage and extra due diligence that would be required under modern banking regulations.

"Special case" ? Please.

Today they come for people you dislike. Tomorrow they come for people you mildly disagree with. The day after they come for you.

Be careful what you wish for.

Hmm - the fix is in ... Farage is a puppet who dances to the tune of rich backers who would destroy our democracies for nefarious ends.

Thanks for posting the updates @vera99 and @Roussette he's a pretty disturbed man.

unbelieveable22 · 27/07/2023 22:25

Now the latest allegations against Dan that he threatened Adele. She refused to speak to him following his interview with her estranged father.

CarlosAlcaraz · 27/07/2023 22:58

@unbelieveable22 where did you read that ?

Well it seems that bullying technique may actually be his MO in many ways.

Might explain his lack of friends speaking up for him which you might otherwise expect.

I see Lebedev is claiming 'Russophobia' as the reason he's not universally beloved. Has DW got the 'homophobia' card out yet?

TooBigForMyBoots · 28/07/2023 13:05

He's a sick, nasty fuck.

LizzieSiddal · 28/07/2023 13:22

It would be good if Adele/her management would confirm that story.

State of the crowd funders - looking like Byline is roaring ahead and Dan is stalling. One could imagine a lot of pro-bono / discounted work for BT as well whereas Wootton's lawyers probably want cash upfront !

https://subscribe.bylinetimes.com/mediatoo/
£50835 of £75000 raised

https://democracythree.org/stop-dan-wootton-being-cancelled-by-far-left-online-smears
£37,075 of £150,000

He's stalling £37,474 of £150,000 goal - 400 quid in the last day.
£52475 of £75000 raised - 1500 quid in the last day.

He is reputedly worth £5 million.

That video is just a rehash of part 4. If the collective allegations that have been made thus far are even half true and the police successfully prosecute then we are talking about lengthy custodial sentence. The Daily Mail has apparently paused his 'contributions' but he still appears on GBNews. It would appear that people who peddle filth are covered in it themselves.

dickdarstardlymuttley · 28/07/2023 20:48

It's unreal.

Oldwobblechops77 · 28/07/2023 20:56

What a disgusting individual he is.

I hope Harry and particularly Meghan are doing a little happy dance! 😃

It does beg the question why these loathsome individuals get promoted in the first place though. Anyone with half an eye could see he was utterly without scruples. What is wrong with our culture that men like this are given more and more power and autonomy? Hideous. Just hideous.

I'm sure that's the case. But unless it's entirely his own donations, he's raised a lot more than I expected.

Why are you surprised? Trump has a load of deluded folk donate to his money-grab, too.

Some people love siding with men like this.

grass321 · 04/08/2023 07:30

It was in response to a PP saying it was an embarrassing amount. I think it's quite a decent amount, considering the circumstances.

Twyford · 04/08/2023 07:58

If even the Mail is getting worried, it sounds like those allegations are getting very close to home.

Anxioys · 08/08/2023 18:03

Well of course this makes him a massive liability for any would be employer or commissioning editor on a freelance basis if true.

If he's offering his opinions on GB News though, less of an issue.
