Lily Allen needs to perhaps just focus on her problems and stop trying to blame others. To bring in those who have tragically died due to addictions and mh problems is absolutely disgusting. How low folk go to excuse and enable their behaviour.

Excuse me? So someone who has experienced their own MH and/or addiction issues shouldn’t dare to invoke the names of others who are publicly known to have suffered the same? And your first reaction to someone sharing those feelings and affinity with those scenarios is that they’re disgusting?

I don’t know why you’re moved to defend Flack, Geldof or Winehouse posthumously when it’s obvious you would have been contemptuous of them like Allen.

Part 1 didn't really have anything new in it.

Did you know all that? I certainly didn't.

His ex boyfriend had already tweeted about all this. So although I didn't know many details of the individual cases, not that there was that many included, I knew generally of all this, yes. His ex did tell the police as well. But the police enquiry went nowhere. Maybe these people going to the police themselves will make a difference - although I do believe some had already reported the incidents to the police and again the police did not take the matter further.

I'm not sure what to say about you not knowing.

Rhondaa · 19/07/2023 17:08

'No, they change depending on what individuals have dished out themselves.'

'impeccable behaviour? No. Understandable? Yes.'

Or, utter hypocrisy.

Rhondaa · 19/07/2023 17:09

'I'm not the slightest bit surprised though, if I read your posts without knowing who it was, you would've been top of my list!'

Well ditto. But hypocrisy seems a common themselves with some posters..

Roussette · 19/07/2023 17:09

Hypocrisy is Dan Wootton.

Cornettoninja · 19/07/2023 17:18

Why so coy Janiie? Why not direct your comments directly at who they’re intended at?

Allegedly. Nothing has been proven or even properly looked into. Lets remember Huw, Schofield etc and not have a trial by socia media hmm? Put the pitchforks down. Have we learnt nothing?!

Facts count, allegations don't..so we've been told for the last few weeks.

WinterDeWinter · 19/07/2023 17:19

Is the implication that DW was attempting to trick colleagues into handing over filmed sex acts for his own sexual enjoyment, or in order to blackmail, or...?

I thought by quoting them it was obvious who I was directing my comments at.

Coy is not a word ever used to describe me. Is it a compliment Grin.

We know its allegedly. Course we do.

Pitchforks? Gosh! If this were some Labour MP you'd be the first shouting the odds!

Not sure what to say to that. Shock
I'm not the slightest bit surprised though, if I read your posts without knowing who it was, you would've been top of my list!

Did you ever read some of the stuff he wrote about Lily Allen or others? Caroline Flack? The Valentine card he designed for her, mocking her after her death? Imagine her family having to see that. It was so bad that even the Sun got a conscience on that one. He has been relentless, he harrasses and bullies women daily, 'scuse me if I don't have much sympathy.

We're weird and lefties now are we? For finding it ironic that a man who has ranted and raved and spewed bile about others, is now facing some of this himself, for his alleged behaviour.
Okay!!

https://www.theguardian.com/media/2020/feb/15/the-sun-takes-down-article-about-caroline-flack-from-website

He didn't design it, someone called Samuel Hague did it says here. It was in the Sun on the Fri and removed on the Sat after her tragic death.

Anyway, allegations need to be looked into but you must get your facts right before announcing DW designed an offensive Valentines card.

It's like BJ got a BJ whilst his wife was getting chemo all over again (not said by you per se just the type of rabble rousing we see on some threads).

Clavinova · 19/07/2023 17:58

No - but I have just seen this (Feb 2022);

The former fiance of TV presenter Caroline Flack has been jailed for harassing a journalist.

Andrew Brady, 31, used social media to send threats and abuse to Dan Wootton, including messages branding him a sex offender and murderer.

Passing sentence, Judge Jeremy Richardson QC told Brady his claims that Mr Wootton was in some way responsible for Miss Flack's death were "wholly irrational", noting that Mr Wootton was actually a friend of the Love Island presenter.

He told Brady the attacks on Mr Wootton had "everything to do with your craving for celebrity status and your irritation that the press were not in the least interested in your somewhat uninteresting life".

Roussette · 19/07/2023 18:05

Wootton was Executive Editor when that article went out.
Wootton scrutinised her, wrote about her, he used her death as a means of defending himself and the Sun. He tormented her.

You didn't say he was editor. You said 'The Valentine card he designed for her, mocking her after her death?'

He didn't design it did he? go on admit you made a mistake and it was removed after her death, not featured after her sad death. I'd ask for your post to be deleted tbh.

I made a mistake.

Do carry on with your stoic and robust defence of Dan Wootton.

I'm not deleting it, no. I have just said here I made a mistake. No need. Report if you feel it upsets you.

It's bizarre. He was actually a friend of hers a judge said, yet here we have pitchfork wavers doing the very thing they accuse Wootton of 🤣🤣

vera99 · 19/07/2023 18:21

Wootton apologists out in force on this thread - imagine wasting your time and energy on defending him of all creatures - looks like his anti-woke, right wing bully pulpit on GB News has fans. I come not to praise Wootton but to bury him - hopefully ten feet under in a lead coffin and a crucifix I can't remember a more odious and toxic mouthpiece in all my 62 years on this earth.

Brave Sarah Vine has broken her silence to show him support on Twitter.
