What would you spend ridiculous amounts of money on?

I would buy lovely food from the farm shop every day. Gorgeous fresh fruit & veg, tasty (but extortionate), local cheeses and grass-fed meats. Never mind all the amazing deli stuff <drools>

Get a comfy sofa.
ours was £50 off Gumtree 4 years ago and if you sit in the corner you fall through.

orangegato · 14/07/2023 19:03

Do my food shop at M&S, pay someone to decorate my house, buy myself a vehicle.

MintyCedric · 14/07/2023 19:04

Food would be pretty high up my list too.

Travelling - haven’t done nearly as much as I’d like.

Lots of Aromatherapy Associates stuff

ForTheSakeOfThePenguin · 14/07/2023 19:06

I would get Neptune to redesign my house and had someone cook healthy well balanced meals for me everyday.

oh.m, and I world pay someone to vacuum clean. Actually, a cleaner would be great.

Nothing else really…

ssd · 14/07/2023 19:06

I'd travel.

BananaSpanner · 14/07/2023 19:07

Upgrade my car and house and pay actual trades people to do work, even odd jobs around the house. No more dodgy DH DIY!

Then book two holidays. One luxurious 5 star, one more road trip/ sightseeing, maybe Canada.

rumred · 14/07/2023 19:11

Holiday home looking over the sea
Loads to charities
Bigger house with land, I take in rescue dogs and would love to have space for more.
It would just be nice to spend and not worry

AlltheFs · 14/07/2023 19:13

I’d have someone to do all my chores-a PA of sorts, so no more ringing the GP at exactly 8am or buying kids presents etc.

Eat out most days and have lovely expensive food delivered.

Twice weekly blow dry, weekly massage, personal trainer. I don’t do enough self care so I’d splurge on it!

mymeatballsmymeatballs · 14/07/2023 19:21

I'd get all the work needed on my house and garden done by the best local tradespeople. House needs redecorating, need more storage built in the kitchen and utility, resin driveway, outbuilding sorted out, new showers and a better bath.

I'd buy the best food every week from local places and what I can't get there, go to waitrose.

Travel everywhere I want to go. America, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, loads of places in Europe.

Pay for the best PT to sort me out once and for all and then buy the wardrobe I've always wanted!

Fun car for me, for DH and a better family car.

Help my family out with whatever they need.

I've clearly thought about this a lot...Grin

mymeatballsmymeatballs · 14/07/2023 19:22

Ooh yeah beauty treatments! Laser hair removal, weekly massage, hair regularly done, facials.

WellThisIsFun1 · 14/07/2023 19:23

A house in the arsehole of nowhere, loads of beauty treatments and a personal trainer.

And tons of Dom Perignon.

And classic cars.

Oh Jesus I'd go nuts

PoachedDregs · 14/07/2023 19:24

Love these threads. As above, I'd have a PA of sorts. A housekeeper who keeps the house in order and also takes on all the life admin, all the appointments and liaising.

Buying myself time would be the most valuable thing.

Drews · 14/07/2023 19:26

I'd travel for the food and to watch bands in amazing venues.

BoobyDazzler · 14/07/2023 19:27

Lovely jewellery and watches.

BoobyDazzler · 14/07/2023 19:28

Oh and 100% a housekeeper\life administrator as I’m shit at both.

Pootles34 · 14/07/2023 19:30

I would want a driver/gardener, and a housekeeper who didn't mind watching the kids occasionally. They will live in a nice little flat over the double garage, and look after the animals while we're on our many holidays. Our main house would be in the country but we'd have a little flat in town as well. The house also needs a library with a fire, and one of those sliding ladders.

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 14/07/2023 19:30

Well apart from the slightly bigger house in the country and an upgrade of my car and travel...definitely flowers. Lots of beautiful bunches of peonies and roses everywhere!

I would do exactly the same.

There’s a gorgeous farm shop not far from here with a stunning house a short walk away. I want it when we win the lottery

Mushroo · 14/07/2023 19:32

Ooo so much!

I’m rubbish at clothes shopping and fashion so would love someone to just curate a wardrobe for me and tell me what to wear.

Beauty treatments galore

Like you, lots of high end gorgeous food.

TheCyclingGorilla · 14/07/2023 19:35

A house with a view and a garden big enough to grow my own food. (I live in a flat in a crowded corner of London with a view of the council estate next door)

A cleaner. A handyman on tap

A wardrobe full of good quality classic clothes. A wardrobe that's made of oak not MDF 🙄.

An electric cargo bike. They are a LOT of money.

A VW California camper van (and driving lessons) so I can see much more of the world 🌎.

Toottooot · 14/07/2023 19:36

Shopping trips to Selfridges, Harrods etc. The kind where they carry your shopping to your waiting car.

MissGroves · 14/07/2023 19:42

Assuming money from a regular decent salary then therapy, private dental treatment and a cleaner to help me stay in control of my house 🙈 and decent food and self care products without worrying about the cost.

if loaded as in a couple of million then a new car, a house in a nicer area and all of the above!
