Bloody dinosaurs

What am I missing? I’ve got a baby boy and he needs clothes. Who decided baby clothes, in fact any clothes, should be covered in bloody dinosaurs?

It’s not just clothes. I’ve never liked dinosaurs but I must be in the minority as they’re everywhere in toys, furniture, museums, films. They’ve been dead ages, they’re ugly and stupid, it’s boring.

I accept the fault must be mine as the whole thing is so popular but I can’t understand it. Was it always like this?

I agree with you OP! Drives me mad how so many boys clothes have dinosaurs on. My son has no interest in them and doesn't want to clothes with them on!

Feel your pain! I have a boy and hate all the dinosaurs/tractors/diggers/footballs on every single thing! My advice - Vinted. Search via his age/size as filter and type in brands like Zara/H&M where the boys stuff is much better/less overtly BOY (but way less expensive than buying new and a lot less wasteful!) I only buy for my little boy via Vinted and the clothes I’ve found on there are beautiful.

It’s been a god send! He’s gaining a pound a week and I can’t believe how fast he’s growing out of stuff.

I have several items of clothing with dinosaurs on, if anything we need more.

And when dd was tiny I purposely dressed her in ‘boys’ clothes because they were way cooler than the bloody pink fairy and unicorn crap. Sorry, that’s not particularly helpful.

Nah, dinosaurs are fucking incredible. You don’t have to want them on your kids clothes (I’m 34 and own a dinosaur dress…) but ugly and stupid they are fucking not!.

Hahahaha. I grew up with only sisters and had never given dinosaurs a second thought.

Ffw to now- I could write some kind of Dino encyclopaedia I promise you. It started aged 2 and showing no signs of calming down now he's in reception. Dinosaurs are the first thing I hear about every morning and the last thing we chat about at night...
I thank god for dinosaur clothes to be honest 😀

My sisters said the same thing. Bleedin dinosaurs on everything. Boring muted colours. A thousand pockets (what's a toddler carrying in his pockets, please?!) Same can be said for girls' clothes; fecking unicorns and rainbows and glitter and ugly character clothing just 🤮 We've found Mango, Zara, H&M and Next to be great over the years.

I love dinosaurs, and am going to learn more about them. My eldest grandson was obsessed for years but his youngest brother likes them but prefers monsters. My eldest granddaughter loves dinosaurs but it's hard to find dresses with Dino's on.

We have 2 baby boys in our family and neither have any dinosaur clothing at all. Loads of none dinosaurs stuff in Tesco, Asda, next, Sainsbury's...

I’ve found stuff in a variety of colours and patterns, there’s plenty of other designs available and more shops are selling neutral designs now than a few years ago which is nice. It just got me thinking about why they’re everywhere. (And why boys = dinosaurs while girls = unicorns and kittens. But that’s another discussion.)

I have an older daughter who’s never shown any interest in dinosaurs. She’s plenty interested in history, science, nature, space, (proper) animals.

And they are ugly. There are more interesting and beautiful things that could be plastered all over stuff for kids.

What isn't 'proper' about dinosaurs? What an odd addition.

There are plenty of toys & clothes out there without dinosaurs on them - i don’t think i bought my son anything with a dinosaur on it but he’s always loved them! He likes learning about them, wants to go fossil digging etc! He’s 9 & been obsessed with them for years it’s quite a common “boy thing” with his friends too. That & bloody lego. At least you can’t stand on dinosaurs bare foot in the middle of the night

Dinosaurs were (and are!) incredible; we and everything else on this earth would not be here if they had not come before us!

I’ve just put my dinosaur pyjamas on. I hope your DS grows up to love dinosaurs just to spite you. 😌

20 years ago I knew a highly religious woman who believed dinosaurs were a human/satan collaborative invention to fool good Christian’s into thinking the world and humanity was older than 6000 years old. She refused her son the clothes and toys a d films and he’s now studying geology
with the aim of becoming a palaeontologist.

My DD does not!!
My grandson loves dinosaur's with a passion!!
This nanny is so happy and completely in charge of dinosaurs and books!!
DD is relieved because now she facetimes me to hand the phone over so DGS and I can discuss and roar while DD sorts things round the house.

Although, the last time the three of us went to a museum she stated it was like she was looking after two kids instead of one 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Can't wait for him to discover Transformers!!!
