What’s Happening In Your House?

How’s everyone’s Friday going? I’ve had a day off work but it’s been quite stressful. DD14 had her girlfriend round & she dyed her hair neon pink. It looks great but they haven’t cleaned the bathroom yet! Also they have had lots of drama & a deep conversation with me. Teens!
I haven’t done what I intended to do, including sweeping the downstairs floors. Hey Ho! Was going to do a mini roast for dinner but couldn’t be bothered to prepare the veg so DH suggested a chippy tea. We’re trying a new place. Glad it does small fish as I’m a real lightweight & can rarely finish a full meal.

Not long in from work. Just having a cup of tea on the swingseat in the garden and having a moment with our normally elusive cats.

Will finish tea and then go and pack for our holiday tomorrow. Yay! DH is out all evening doing some volunteering so I might start on his with at least the basics.

Bifolds open just making dinner think we are getting guardians of the galaxy 3 via sky this evening not had a "new" film family night for ages.

Bit muggy for anything else.

DH is probably drinking an alcohol free beer and bbq'ing a burger for himself in peace.

He has already collected dd from work in town as she got a puncture on her bike, then dropped her to gym when she'd eaten and changed.

Then he dropped me to a train o go to a work-ish evening thing.

And he's offered to collect me later in city centre as taxis are in such short availability these days.

Love him.

put DD to bed about 30mins ago

DM is off on holiday early hours so she dropped her 2 dogs round earlier, add them with our 3 and we have what I call chaos! All settled down now though and watching crappy TV waiting for food to be delivered.
(DP better get to the door before he rings the bell or else 😅)

Then I did almost all washing today and dried on the line, so that all needs folding!!! Might watch the Kardashians while I do that!!!

And crack a Marks tinned cocktail 🍸

DP had a kidney transplant yesterday. I haven't visited him yet as home with the kids, but we've been facetimimg all day. Ds 4th birthday tomorrow, so I need to get everything sorted for that when he finally sleeps! Having new stairs fitted, they've been here 2 days 8am until 8pm, and they're still here now. Once everything is done and everyone is asleep, I'm going to have a bath and read a book to relax.

Kids shattered after inset day in the sun so hopefully will be asleep soon if not already. The baby is iffy, may be getting ill.

Will move upstairs soon and watch Real Housewives of Cheshire with some chocolate.

Absolutely fuck all and it’s bliss. My toddler has been asleep for an hour and a half, I’m sat drinking wine and eating cookie dough ice cream with a dog on my feet and another on the back of the sofa with his head on top of mine and watching (again!) sons of anarchy. Husband may be back in another hour or two, yay for silage season.

I've been at work today and it was a long day, so got home, ate biscuits had a nap.

Chucked some baguettes in the airfryer with some microwaved tinned spaghetti for dinner for the girls.

Now chilled out watching free guy on disney + eating ice poles for pudding!

DC are in bed sleeping after a busy day with their DGPs.

DH is in the bath trying out the new bath board.

I'm just sitting in the garden with a coffee, watching the birds on the tree hanging feeder and catching the last of the rays. It's still really warm!

I'm watching re-runs of The Simpsons and playing with our 8 week old kitten.

The dog is sprawled out asleep next to us, another cat is on the floor by the window (sleeping) and the other cat is on the fridge (sleeping).

DH is getting ready to go kayaking in the morning!

Sat in the garden listening to my DH on his mower, surrounded by dogs, teenagers and just off out for a drive to collect something for food with my youngest (15)

Not sure what to collect so I'll let him decide!

I shall just drive quickly past any kebab vans, the joys or being rural no delivery's here.

It's been a hectic work week and I've picked up a random cold, so just about feeling human again.

We are on holiday in Yorkshire so sitting in the garden listening to cows, sheep and birds - makes a nice change from the usual city sounds I have at home. Though there do seem to be a few boy racers on the country roads around here though which is a more familiar sound! Haven’t done much today, had a bit of a walk but sat in the garden mostly enjoying the sun. It’s to rain for the next few days so trying to think of what we will do for the next few days.

DH is grumpy as fuck. DD is at her boyfriends house till later. DS’s 1, 2 and 3 are all in their rooms gaming. I’m laid in bed just waiting for DH to get out of his funk, which honestly is likely to be tomorrow.

We’ve had a chippie tea too. Nearly 15 and 10 year old sons have been bouncing on the trampoline but came in about 5 mins ago and the sounds of ‘you’re an idiot’ are just fading into the background as the oldest had jumped out from behind a door onto the youngest. eye roll

I’ve just put on make up but it’s hot so I’m lying on the bed. DH is in his study working on his book until I give the nod that yes I am indeed ready to pop round to our local for an hour. I’m looking at my chipped toenail polish and thinking pah, I’ll wear trainers. I’m a lazy cow but at least I’ve got a bit of lippy on

Dd was collected from Uni yesterday with 3 tonnes of washing. She was home last week but went back to do her driving theory test. Passed. Today she has gone off to Belgian coast for 6 weeks with all the bags and her guitar to work at a kids holiday camp for the summer. We have had burgers and onions rings, DH has been watching TDF and the tennis. I am knackered and thinking of going to bed soon.

Worked from 6am to 2pm, went to a hospital appt to have a mouth aid moulded for recently diagnosed sleep apnea, picked dc up from school, cooked dinner, had argument with dh about fact I'm working next Tuesday so can't assist taking his car for a service. Predicted meltdowns from DC after a long hot week at school, sports day, new classes transitioning. New whattsapp group for friend in hospital with cancer. Currently having wine and a smoke outside trying to process how much life has changed, how we need to live for each day but still so f#######g stressful!

Just got my three into bed after going swimming after school and making sausage sandwiches for tea
I’m going to put a load of washing out overnight to get darked on 😂 then I intend to sit in the garden with my dog and sink a g n t before going in to watch RHOOC

Having the most horrendous anxiety induced evening. Can barely breathe. I have covid. I am due to have an urgent operation next week.
Can’t stop crying as I feel so desperately shit.

Husband is away abroad working. Children are upstairs . My Parents aren’t well.

DH is staying with a school friend for a long weekend. dd2 organised herself a sleepover so DD1 and I had a lovely evening - bunked off dance class, walked the dog in the woods, she had a bath, we did hair and face masks, watched Freaky Friday and ate chip butties. She's in bed now and I'm having a glass of champagne.
