What's the best Disney film?

Recently got Disney + for the kids and I'm really enjoying watching films from my childhood, and new ones too. I watched The Lion King (1994 one) yesterday, loved it as a child but haven't seen it in years, and when Jeremy Irons is introduced as Scar and then they did Be Prepared I felt the hairs rising on my arms! I was glued to the entire thing and as much as I like other old Disney films (the Aristocats, the old Robin Hood, Lady and the Tramp) I nominate The Lion King for greatest ever.

The Jungle Book- the original. Can't beat it.

I think the music is what sets the classic Disney apart from the newer stuff.

How could I forget Mary Poppins! Bedknobs & Broonsticks, beauty & the beast, little mermaid, Aladdin. I love sleeping beauty as well.

I find it so hard to pick a favourite Disney film.

I love Frozen and when Let It Go starts up I still turn the volume up and cheer Elsa on.

But The Lion King, it's almost a perfect film really. The animation, voice work, songs, villian etc they're all just so so good.

My favourites are the Lion King and Mulan

I can't choose one but Encanto has a special place in my heart definitely, I think I could watch it again and again and never tire of it!

Tangled to me is just a perfect film.
I also absolutely adored Encanto and Coco.
Frozen/Frozen 2/Moana/Up/The Lion King very close runners up. So hard to choose…!

The Little Mermaid.

I also loved High School Musical 🤣

Honourable mentions to Beauty and the Beast and Jungle Book (both great songs), Up, Coco, Big Hero 6 and Lilo and Stich but the most perfect of all IMO is Wall-E. Just outstanding, and way ahead of its time.

I’m an old fart at heart, so for me it’s the oldies:

Dumbo, Lady and the Tramp, Bambi, The Aristocats, Snow White, The Fox and the Hound, Jungle Book. Still find it amazing how great they look considering they are now pretty old.

I don’t think I’ve seen any of the more modern ones.

Not Disney, but my all time favourite was the Tom & Jerry Night Before Christmas episode. When I was a kid, that was shown pretty much every Christmas Eve. I can still picture Tom out in the cold and Jerry whizzing down candy canes.
