I think I've been doing periods wrong

Please help a sister out. Which way round do these things go?

What is the flower supposed to represent?

And what are those two bird things?

I have a feeling I've spend the last 30 years getting it wrong.

I'm with you OP, every time I use one I'm not sure whether it represents my Lady Flower or my Little Starfish.

Haha i have always wondered this and do usually put the flower to the front.. so that's good to know I have been mostly bossing periods!
I hate wings too (and it's harder to find wingless pads)

Surely you’ve figured out in your many years of being female and having periods that you put the long bit wherever you need it? Unless you’re hairy handed.

On the topic can anyone recommend cheap pads that aren't scented?
Aldi are, I've not checked but if anyone knows are Lidl pads?
I use reusable but they have poppers and I need disposable for spin classes!

I never knew what they represented. I just thought it was a pattern known only to the designer. I always had the longer bit at the front as that is where I needed it.

@OneFrenchEgg - the end that is wavy goes to the back and the non-wavy edge goes to the front.

Scented pads should be illegal. They are awful. Just a breeding ground for thrush. It was one of the main reasons I went for reusables. Because I couldn’t escape the scented products.

They need a better graphic designer, or they could use the easily comprehensible indicators “front” and “back”.

Like I said earlier, come Dec it won't be a problem because always are removing the symbols entirely to be inclusive......

My bad.... They removed the venus symbol in 2019.....
