Be honest, has anyone had the heating on?

West coast of Scotland here...

SE England here…it’s disgustingly hot, muggy and humid, so no.

I have been fantasising about autumn, fluffy throw, heating and scented candle weather for the last week!

I'm an autumn person too. Can't wait! 🍁🍂🍎

Yes, just for an hour (a day or so ago), to take the chill off. Also put a blanket on over my summer duvet. Perthshire.
It’s lovely and sunny today, but with a cold stiff wind.

MintyCedric · 02/07/2023 16:32

I know!

Every year I try to convince myself that I like summer because that seems to be what everyone expects.

I don’t. I’m a fair skinned, peri menopausal, hayfever sufferer and I can’t wait for it to be over.

Jay3004 · 02/07/2023 16:42

Yes! Also west coast of Scotland.

Whatwaste · 02/07/2023 16:49

No. But I needed a coat on when I let the chickens out this morning.

orangeblosssom · 02/07/2023 16:51

Warm in South East

EmeraldFox · 02/07/2023 16:52

No, the backdoor is open and windows wide open upstairs. SW England. It's 21 degrees in here. I'm in jeans, jumper and barefoot.

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 02/07/2023 16:53

Nope! I still have the windows open and the fan on.
North east England

FuppingEll · 02/07/2023 16:54

I'm in the West of Ireland and have been tempted to today. Feels pretty nippy today. We peaked too soon with gorgeous weather at the end of May and beginning of June.

Flymetothetoon · 02/07/2023 16:56

God no I'm still flinging all the windows open of a morning and sleeping with a fan on all night - Yorkshire.

BreehyHinnyBrinnyHoohyHah · 02/07/2023 16:57

Cumbria. No, but the Oodie has made a return.

MrsMarzetti · 02/07/2023 17:03

West of Scotland and it is breezy and 14 degrees no need for heating.

Alwayswonderedwhy · 02/07/2023 17:04

No. Midlands and we're sat in the garden.

starfishmummy · 02/07/2023 17:05

Not yet, but I've been tempted!!

GeraltsBathtub · 02/07/2023 17:10

No, it’s been warm for a few months here in the SE. We have the windows open all the time. It’s not too hot this weekend (20) but considering investing in a better fan before the next wave of unbearable heat hits.

Els1e · 02/07/2023 17:12

Nope, west Dorset. It’s fresher in the air but not no need for anymore heat. I have put on a tee shirt rather than vest today. So 🤷‍♀️

QuestionableMouse · 02/07/2023 17:44

16c in Hartlepool and very windy! It feels quite chilly to me.

MrsCarson · 02/07/2023 17:48

Not here, N. Wales. I'm still in a tee shirt and no socks.

justanothermanicmonday1 · 02/07/2023 17:49

Yes, to dry the bedding yesterday when it was absolutely pouring down!

Gytgyt · 02/07/2023 17:50

Yorkshire. Yes for 1 hour 2 days ago I did leave all the windows open so the house was cold.

Pootle40 · 02/07/2023 17:52

I never put it on July and august no matter the temp - I just refuse

Spanielsarepainless · 02/07/2023 17:52

Not since mid-May. Southwest here.

RuthW · 02/07/2023 18:10

Midlands here. My fav weather. Warm and dull. Just right with the door open.

MrsMoastyToasty · 02/07/2023 18:13

Nope, not a chance. It's sunny here (near Bristol) and although there's a stiff breeze it's actually quite nice. I've just walked down to our local park , where there's a music festival going on and there's loads of people picnicking on the grass wearing shorts and tshirts.
