Things You Love That Always Feature In MN 'Hate' Lists

Here's a chance to rave about the humble Haggis (they do gluten free ones, too!), Mochi, olives, Oysters and all the wonderful things that it seems like people queue up to declare their hatred for!

So here are a few things I absolutely love - anybody else want to join in?

GF Haggis.
Mochi - my absolute favourite was a fresh Strawberry Daifuku, but a couple of Little Moons allowed to properly soften will do at a pinch.
Sashimi with proper Wasabi and Tamari (as per the GF requirement).
Oysters - have to be raw and eaten overlooking the sea - none of that messing around with onions and hot sauce, just as they come, plus some lemon.
Mussels.
Clams.
Langoustine.
GF linguine/spaghetti Frutti di Mare/scoglio
Calamari
Both types of artichokes
Aperol Spritz
Black Olives
Green Olives if they're really fat
Goat's Cheese
Sheep's Cheese
Blue Cheese
Avocado

Embroidery. Separating out all those threads brought on an inner rage and despair I never knew I had.

I thought it was processed foods mumsnetters hate.
This list is peak mumsnet.

Why is it peak Mumsnet? I like all of those things and every one of them was listed as hated in the thread I linked to.

There's usually lots of MN hate for Prosecco and Champagne but I'm a huge fan of drinks with bubbles.

I think you know.

I am not disputing that you like those things (I also like most of that list) but it really is pick the most middle class foods I like and leave out anything deemed common.

I've never seen anyone on mumsnet declare a dislike for anything on your list! Am I on the wrong threads, I want to be on the mochi ones!

Every single one of them is in the other thread I linked to (and in multiple other ones) as something that's hated by lots of people.

That's why they're on the list. I think they're great, other people hate them, and I started the thread because I thought how about talking about positives, particularly around food, for a change?

Actually, I am interested, what would you deem 'common' food that I haven't expressed an opinion on but you feel I must eat?

As might have been inferred from my referring to gluten free in the OP (and ranting in previous threads), it can't contain wheat, barley, rye, malt, most oats, unspecified modified starch, or be manufactured, stored or cooked in places where gluten containing ingredients are present and actually be something other people have said that they hate.
