Naomi Campbell has 2nd child at 53. I presume with help. Surrogate, donor egg?

I don't know for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if it varies from state to state. However, even the US must have some limits. It's easier for single men as they simply need to provide the sperm and then a clinic/agency finds a donated egg, sorts out IVF to create an embryo, and finds a woman willing to become pregnant with this embryo.

For the sake of the child I think it's best to stick to a natural childbearing age. The chance of you becoming ill and dying increases with age, not to mention natural ageing things like tiredness, arthritis, menopause and gynae issues etc. I expect she'll have access to healthcare interventions should she require them, but will still be quite old by the time the kid leaves college/uni and potentially not there anymore in their 30s. I don't agree with men fathering children in their 50s + either.

Luckily it’s not up to you to agree or disagree with it.

Raising a few eyebrows at these comments NC is extremely wealthy and that enables her to have longevity let's be honest. Despite this it's too old I think the same about late 40s too and that's with your ordinary Jo Bloggs.

It's not like she's going to do any of the heavy lifting with the baby.

She won't do any of the night feeds, or nappy changes. None of that boring stuff!

Just like she didn't do any of the heavy lifting with the pregnancy, either.
Why ruin her beautiful body with the banalities of pregnancy, when you can sub-contract that bit out too.

It’s funny how people don’t think it’s “selfish” when a man fathers a child at 50.

Men die younger than women, on average, so there’s even more chance of an older father dying before the child is 18.

But no, let’s only judge older mothers.

Because most of the men having babies at 50 + are having them with younger women( I know, another issue!) are also having them using their own penises, so unlike the older mothers are not relying on another woman pumping herself full of chemicals and using her body to protect their own.

The selfish older parent thing still applies however. My dad was much older than my mum and dies when I was very young.

Just seen this story. Not good. Another case of baby trafficking
