Oh! That didn’t work. It’s Waitrose Coffee icecream

You can make it yourself if you are happy to make your own mince pies. Either that or bulk make it during December! You just need a big tub of vanilla ice cream, let it defrost so that it is stirring consistency then stir in broken up pieces of mince pie.

You can do the same with Christmas pudding!

Yes, have tried this but never quite tastes the same and here you can only find mincemeat in the shops at Christmas time too.

Couldn't find any of the ice cream at all last Christmas so may have to resort to trying my own again this year.

The bulk ice cream - I managed to buy a 5 litre tub from a factory outlet 2 years ago and it lasted precisely 3 weeks.🤣🤣🤣 ( There's only me and DH and unfortunately he is as big a fan as I am.)

There's no saving us Cavemum! 😂

A proper dairy vanilla ice cream

lotus biscoff or snickers

PixiePirate · 20/06/2023 06:49

NeverendingCircus · 19/06/2023 22:17

Proper vanilla
honey and ginger
really good blackcurrant, mango and raspberry sorbets
cardamom kulfi

Yum! These all sound delicious. I think you and I would get on.

FrillyGoatFluff · 20/06/2023 06:56

Annoyingly, Ben and Jerrys cherry garcia, but the bastards stopped making it

EllaRaines · 20/06/2023 06:57

Turkish delight with dark chocolate chips.

indigoemerald · 20/06/2023 06:59

Raspberry Ripple with raspberry sauce and a flake. Bradwell’s in the Peak District used to make the nicest raspberry ripple, but they have recently closed down :(

I’ve seen that Ben & Jerrys have just released a lemon and honey flavour which I am excited to try!

IHeartGeneHunt · 20/06/2023 06:59

Rum and raisin, or when you still saw it, tutti frutti.
Gino Ginelli was the best ice cream.

ManonDe · 20/06/2023 07:30

I can be very exact.

Pistachio Gelato from the Ice cream shop on Lygon Street in Melbourne

Licorice icecream - Australia

Rum and raison- mostly anywhere

Apple pie or lemon meringue from Wallings (if you’re a Lancashire lass, or lad, you’ll understand).

Oh yes, Wallings is the best ice cream I've had in the UK hands down. I would go for Apple Pie or Stem Ginger from there.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 20/06/2023 07:57

Biscoff or tutti frutti

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 20/06/2023 08:05

Pistachio, although very unusual to find.

Oh no! I didn't realise they'd closed! DH's grandparents were from Bradwell. They passed many years ago, but we'd always have a Bradwell ice cream in their memory. Our Cow Molly ice cream is local too, that's not bad.

madeinmanc · 20/06/2023 08:11

@IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads M&S are doing pistachio this summer (which they stopped over winter and I panicked about it being discontinued), I love it! 😍

Double Gold Caramel Billionaire Magnums for everyday ice creams you can get from supermarkets
Pistachio cone, the ones you can only get on holiday from ice cream vendors
Mr Whippy

User195376587 · 20/06/2023 08:17

I used to like Carte D'Or cherry ice cream but haven't seen it for years

Sgtmajormummy · 20/06/2023 08:18

Royal Jelly semifreddo from Biagi Gelateria in Sarzana.

At Christmas I make a Vin Santo and Cantuccini (3 whole below and crushed as a topping) with good bought vanilla or rum and raisin ice cream.

Lidl’s bourbon vanilla is really good and DS gets a Viennetta (aero chocolate) as his
joke birthday cake every year.

I’ve just looked at the Our Cow Molly ice cream flavours, I’m intrigued by the pear drop one! May have to pay a visit…

NisekoWhistler · 20/06/2023 08:27

Haagen Dazs Salted Caramel is the finest in the land and I've certainly tried a few

watermeloncougar · 20/06/2023 09:42

Pistachio
Coconut
Strawberry

In that order

Baldieheid · 20/06/2023 09:46

Good vanilla. Something like Mackies, if bought in supermarket. Or Mackies raspberry ripple once in a while.

At a proper ice cream parlour, like the one in St Andrews, all bets are off. Something fruity though. Raspberry, bramble, peach, lemon curd...all enjoyed immensely.

AlphaAlpha · 20/06/2023 10:00

Cinnamon ice cream from my local farm shop.

TollgateDebs · 20/06/2023 10:03

Gelato - Pannacotta

ButteryNuts · 20/06/2023 10:03
  • Pistachio
  • Mint choc chip
  • Salted caramel
