What did you hate as a child, but love as an adult

For me it's mushrooms and also showers.

Mushrooms were the disgusting things that weren't nice in any way! Now I love them, eat the raw, fried, grilled, in soup etc 😋

I absolutely loathed showers, even to the point where I'd sit in the showe tray and try and have a really shallow bath! Love them now. Absolutely hate baths now and only have them when no alternative is available.

Not sure when I moved from a hate to a love...but there we go!

Anything with even a super mild dose or flavour of chilli. Can't get it hot enough now.

Roast dinners - hated them as a child, Mum used to make me sit with a cold dinner and eat it! Love them now I cook them myself.
Dresses - hated them!! Always had to wear trousers. But now I wear them and enjoy them (even have 1 with flowers on!)

I agree with the PP who said 'house browsing' - looking in the windows of estate agents, reading the Houses section of the local paper each week, I never understood my parents' interest given that we already had a good house. Now I love a good nosey on Rightmove or Zoopla, and always browse the windows when I'm on holiday!

Gardening and being dragged round garden centres. My parents were keen gardeners and encouraged us to help out and I absolutely hated it. Hard work and boring in equal measure.

I hit my 30s and I suddenly got the gardening bug. Now I absolutely love it and it's my main hobby, I'm usually at the garden centre once a week even if it's just for a browse.

So thanks mum and dad, I didn't appreciate it at the time but it came to me eventually! I fear I'm now doing the same to my children and dragging them round garden centres 🤣🤣

Tea, water and the News. Three things my Nan loved and I now must have two cups of tea a day, one whilst watching the news and I only drink water now.

My Nan would be proud of me 😊

Food.

As a child eating just felt like a chore something you had to do.

Now I spend 98% of my time thinking about or eating food.

This changed around 11years old. I remember thinking: wow this is nice.
