I’m not radical, left wing or right wing but also saying something pro-Trump seems to get people frothing at the mouth and labelling you instantly as something like a MAGA whatever that means.

Plus I seem to have lost the will to try and understand American politics a while back.

I think we are witnessing extreme war propaganda by the democrats and it is ALL AN ILLUSION to keep the wars going and prices hiked up. The war in Ukraine is a proxy war. The media hype and Zelenskyy and Britains part in it.

I don't like Trump.
But it is important to try to understand the views of his supporters not just slag them off as 'low thinking people'. That's to some extent how brexit happened - remember Gordon Brown referring to the woman as a 'bigot'?

I am not well informed on American politics but my impression is:

• 'make America great again' encourages people to look back to a time when they felt more prosperous
• being outside of the political machine makes people who don't like 'government' think he is on their side
• being for 'freedom' and 'individual' lets people who feel pushed down by 'society' think he is on their side
• pro gun lobby
• some people liked his approach to Covid
• campaigning in and giving funds to areas that used to have big manufacturing who have lost it to China etc helps those areas support him
• he did win, so Republicans may think he can win again

No doubt someone more informed than I can make a proper list.

I said Hunter Biden’s laptop story was suppressed by the news organisations and it was branded as a fake story which tbh could have changed the voters opinions had they known the Biden families ties to Ukraine lol 😂

I was against TRUMP when he was president. Would have preferred Bernie Sanders. Of course we all know what MAGA means but are we MAGA instantly if we think Biden is not fit to be president?
