Tesco Clubcard vouchers - what do you switch them into?

What are you transferring your Clubcard vouchers over to? With Tesco changing the terms so that vouchers are only worth 2x value rather than 3x value I'm undecided what to convert my vouchers too before the deadline.

I'm confused I only had £7 worth of vouchers even though I get a weekly Tesco shop Confused and haven't used any vouchers for ages ?!?

Anyway I've converted them to Pizza Express now because we have a nice one not to far away and I always used it for that in the past

I received a confirmation email and now the Tesco Clubcard app has closed itself completely

My order went through but I haven't got the confirmation email. It says on the website that there might be a delay of several hours for that to come through so yes, they're struggling with volume.

I've just gone with hotel.com. Nothing like leaving it until the last minute!! How long do we have to use the hotel.com voucher? Is it 12 months from today? I couldn't find that anywhere in the small print

To use this coupon, you must be over 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom. You may only use this coupon for bookings made by 11:59pm MT on 31/12/2024 on the UK version of Hotels.com for a stay to be completed by 31/12/2025. Bookings are subject to availability and the hotel’s terms and conditions.

website says the above ^

We save ours up and pay for Christmas and New Year food with our family.
There's nothing more satisfying than having a massively overflowing trolley that costs nothing bar a couple of quid.

We've just booked 3 nights in a hotel in Barcelona for next year with the hotel.com vouchers (£560). Got flights to match for only £160. So a cheap getaway!
We get loads of vouchers due to huge diesel bills each month and a large food shop budget, so I'm gutted it's changing as we've done pretty well over the years with the vouchers. Still 2x is still better than nothing!

How much did you have to spend in Tesco to get that amount of vouchers 🧐😯

afromom · 19/06/2024 21:42

Haha we have a huge commuting cost, DP and I spend around £600 each per month on fuel and then food is around another £700 per month, so we do spend more than most! We are really lucky that work pays for most of our fuel but we are allowed to collect the Clubcard points.

I do about 2/3k miles per month and always make sure I top up at Tesco for the points. I thought I was doing well but would still have to wait for aaaages for this. I don't want to know how much I spend on groceries but my statement is just Tesco on repeat.

I had no idea you could do this as just cash them in for £ when I'm skint. Thanks for the tip.

Gah, I've been trying to do this all evening but just keep getting the website CRASHING when I try to add to my basket. Luckily the 3 x offer is extended until Thursday so I'll try again tomorrow. I did it for someone else today, who ordered £550+ Pizza Express vouchers (!), which worked fine!

How much would you have need to spend though to raise that much? Don't you need to spend £1000 to get enough points for a £10 voucher? How much people are spending on their shops to spend have these amount of vouchers??

Riverlee · 15/09/2024 18:44

I’ve just cashed some in for a tourist attraction. I get around £4.40 per cycle, and that’s from a credit card - around £500 -£800 month (including including business trip expenses) plus any large spendings (holiday etc).
