Day one! It's a low activity day, so I would think I'll survive!

What is the eggs and wine diet? Do you literally just consume eggs and wine??
Sounds revolting to me!

TheMurderousGoose · 12/06/2023 11:45

Is this that diet from the 70s that went viral on Twitter?

I think a wine and eggs diet would have a loosening effect on my bowels.

QueenAstrid · 12/06/2023 11:50

Doesn’t sound like much of a giggle to me

willahelmina · 12/06/2023 11:51

It does sound revolting. I was going to say it's not very healthy, obviously, either, but I'm assuming it's a quick weight loss thing.

whatsoccuringnow · 12/06/2023 11:57

Following. I have a strange interest to find out how it goes!

Swansandcustard · 12/06/2023 11:59

We need details!

I gess you just have to do the liver cleanse diet after.

hexsnidgett · 12/06/2023 12:02

Ah, they lost me at steak.

msmonstera · 12/06/2023 12:03

I can imagine this causes some kind of gas!

willahelmina · 12/06/2023 12:06

Why not just the black coffee? Why introduce wine? I'd be worse for wear at the end of the day.

I wouldn't like the steak either.

lostinfusion · 12/06/2023 12:07

so you drink a bottle of wine a day on top of very little food?

Sounds extremely unhealthy, I hope this is a joke

adviceseeker22 · 12/06/2023 12:08

I'm assuming it does make you gassy. I think it mostly has a diuretic/dehydration effect.

I'm lucky that my genes gave me high alcohol flushing capabilities.

So far, so good. Not the biggest fan of black coffee but I'll survive

I imagine the wine is so you don't care about the food? Helps you to stick to the diet, lol. Diets back then weren't about health were they, they were about staying slim for your man.

BadgeronaMoped · 12/06/2023 12:09

I think I'd have loved that diet when i was a youngster, eggs aside, sounds great fun. But I always did enjoy daytime drinking...

Because you finally get out of bed at 1pm.

I have it every now and then as mimosas with brunch

JobzaGoodun · 12/06/2023 12:13

I think that was my diet from about 2000 - 2003...

Kleptronic · 12/06/2023 12:14

It's missing the bifters.

True...I know my dd occasionally has a bottomless brunch out with friends. It just seems odd to stipulate it on a diet plan!
Anyway, following with interest now!!😊

AutumnCrow · 12/06/2023 12:19

Just thank god it doesn't involve a banana

adviceseeker22 · 12/06/2023 12:43

I really want a diet coke (which I think I should be able to..) but I'll stick to the wine and coffee

'Preferably Chablis'

I'd prefer all my wine to be Chablis all the time but at at least £12 a bottle I'd be forced do this with lambrusco so I think it would limit my success!

momager1 · 12/06/2023 13:20

its all shits and giggles, till somebody giggles and shits HAHAHAHA
