Rita or Janet?!
Those are Bluey and Bingo's Granny names and they are dogs so...makes sense

Highfivemum · 11/06/2023 20:30

I would call her Pamela and shout it like smithy in Gavin and Stacey

EmotionalSupportWyrm · 11/06/2023 20:31

just be aware @ImAChChChChihuahua that whatever you choose will turn out to be the top name in children within a year or so - and you will find dozens of little "Ethels" in every park you ever visit......... many many years ago we chose a quirky old lady's name for one of our dogs, Molly, and suddenly it turned out to be very popular...... not only for dogs. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@@ImAChChChChihuahua

i said Enid, but now I've seen her I think she needs something softer I'd go for Mouse, but you want little old lady, so Mabel.

KTheGrey · 11/06/2023 20:34

Muriel

So cute. I'd go with Beatrice(bea for short) or franny. Also knew a woman called ida-may and always loved it for a puppy

Blueink · 11/06/2023 20:37

Suggest go with Doris then - know a few young Vera’s and know a baby Mabel - Mabel and Ethel are already making a come back.

Neverknowinglysensible · 11/06/2023 20:39

Bless her! She is, most definitely, an Euphemia. Effie for short.

AndDoTheTangoInTheNightTAAAAAANGOOO · 11/06/2023 20:40

Ethel is the first old lady name to pop into my head, great minds! Then -
Doris
Edie
Martha
Enid
Maureen
Betty

These are all real people in my family who died as elderly ladies in the past 20 years.

Prudence (Prue)

Don't like Ethel at all, to me that's in with Gertrude
