Ethel is an old lady name but Mabel seems to have come back around, I know several baby/ toddler Mabel’s so I wouldn’t really see it as an old lady name anymore.

Old lady names I don’t think have become baby names again yet (at least in my local area) would be:

Mavis
Beryl
Gladys
Phyllis

A lot of these aren't old lady names, they are dead lady names.

Old lady names these days are Sheila, Carol, Janice, Pat, Kathleen not Doris, Ada, Gladys, Vera.

Susan, before it dies out completely. Half my class were called Susan, ok it’s not an old lady name because us contemporaries of all the Susan’s are in our prime, but it isn’t old lady enough to be revived yet, and would be a good name for a little, or not so little dog.
