DP is carrying out some strange chemistry experiment in the kitchen (don't even ask!!)

DS (10) is working on is java script programming following a water fight with the neighbours. I've just found a pile of soaking clothes in the middle of the kitchen floor

I'm exhausted after lots of gardening and walking the dog - I have been thinning out trees and starting to dig out a new flower bed so my shoulders ache from holding the tree cutter and weilding a spade. Need to make dinner (quiche, new potatos and salad for thsose that care )

DD (17) is out. She's been out since noon in the park with her friends and has mainly been eating ice cream, playing mini golf and chatting. She's just asked for some money so they can buy pizzas - apparently deliveroo will deliver to parks!!

The cats and the dog are lying about sleeping having spent most of the day seeking shade and water.

It's 10:00 am here, and raining at last! We had a lovely breakfast spread made by DH, while DS (24) cleaned the dishes and kitchen after.
DH is on the computer about to have Telehealth call (was surprised they did weekend appointments) and DS is on his computer/phone/gaming in his room.

I am out on the back porch, keeping some soggy crows company while I enjoy a second coffee and small sativa joint before I get to work on the laundry, and sorting out the bedroom closets.

It’s just started raining (it’s been about a month since we last had rain so I don’t mind!) so I’ve just been out to get the washing in. DH and I are watching Titanic in channel 4 and the dog is now lying on me sleeping with his cooling collar on. It’s been too hot to walk him at all today but hopefully we can go later if the predicted thunderstorms don’t happen.

Oh and DS is away for the weekend with my parents.

Youngest ds has gone to the cinema with a friend, older Ds hibernating in his room cos he's midway through GCSES and hayfever is kicking his butt
DH has made scones. And is now preparing a curried chicken lasagne, I've done 3 loads of washing and am sat drinking cocktails (also made by DH) listening to the thunder and watching Ian somerholder in V Wars!

I'm watching the Freddie Mercury tribute concert on Sky Arts. I was there, yes I'm that old 😊

Drove back from Devon this morning, unpacked, put washing on and walked dog. Absolutely knackered now, chilling with DDog and DSis’s dog who’s having a sleepover. Suspect we’ll all be in bed by 7.30

Very lazy here after a day of water fights and various chores. DS1 is watching TV in the front room, DH is playing guitar while idly watching an old Simpsons episode. DS2 is on Roblox - but I’m waiting for him to crash as he didn’t sleep last night at a sleepover. I’ve had my second shower of the day and am aching for a cool breeze - I am not a heat person 😂

Sewing - just had to separate a lining and seam in a Boden coat, it was pulling the back up (wrongly constructed) and as I love the coat so much, I do not want to send it back and it is out of stock anyway, so now has a chain to weigh down the hem and ribbon to finish off the lining. Hubster in the garage building an exhaust from scratch to fit to his renovated (he's rebuilt the bike) bike and sidecar outfit. Cooked a chicken to eat later when a little cooler.

I've successfully managed to unfuck the house (downstairs anyway). It's the first day of AF and I'm just wanting to put my feet up. The eldest has been so demanding today. He's just gone for a play at a friend's house. I wish I could leave him there for a bit (he was offered a sleepover) but he wants to be picked up in an hour. Debating whether to get posh takeaway pizza. Cannot be arsed cooking.

Sitting with all the windows open, listening to Faithless on vinyl, teens are upstairs, one pretending to revise (but actually watching Hunger Games) the other had been building a new gaming tower all week.
DH is currently looking for something to eat that doesn't involve the cooker.

Bifolds open, 6music funk and soul playing, beans for tomorrow's mexican cooking, teens chilling inside after a hot day. H out with friend, I have just got my first vodka and slim.

Putting laundry away (on the same day it dried I think I should get a standing ovation before European cup kick off that should cover it) :-)

Easy days sometimes.

We've just had tea. Pork loin steaks, salad and garlicy spuds 😋

Dd1 is washing up, dd2 is drying up. They've cleaned down the sides & in the process of making a cuppa.

Their dad is doing the bins & then sweeping in here.

I'm relaxing with an elderflower and pomegranate cordial with sparkling water. I've been pottering all day, entertained my dad for a bit, and cooked tea.

Once the kitchen's done, it's showers all round then dd1 needs to find prom shoes, handbag and jewellery online. I'll order them & chill some more on the sofa before bed. The girls will be up long past me 💤

Bbq party for my bday 🎂

It's about 28 degrees here. I'm sitting in the garden with a gnt with ice and a slice. Ds is eating ice pops and playing on the trampoline. Dh is cleaning the kitchen because he is a superstar - he has never looked sexier 😆

Dd is shopping with her friends and has just msgd asking for some shorts she 'must have' 😆

Just cleared up after a BBQ, dd in the bath, ds ready to go to the shop for match snacks 🙄. I’m sitting by an open window enjoying the breeze and contemplating wine. And chocolate.

Ds 1 is about to finish work then off to boyfriends.

Dd2 upstairs gaming online with friends.

Had a slow morning in pjs but got three loads of washing and mid drying now.

Popped out for food supplies and a greggs coffee and sausage roll earlier and now bak home just chilling on phone.

Dh currently snoozing on sofa 🛋️

Going to go find my slippers as my feet are cold for the first time in over a month of beautiful sunshine

ds is playing FIFA on his playstation before the Champions League comes on, dh is washing up the dishes, and I've just put some new towels out in the bathroom and put some bleach down the loo. I'm now just lying on the bed scrolling through my phone enjoying five minutes peace to myself.

Having crisps and wine for dinner lol. DH half asleep on sofa, DC gaming. Been in the pool all afternoon

Its very humid. Just had a shower and sat down with DH to watch the Champions League final. DS2 will join us soon.
Big big City fans in this house.

DH and DD2 making pizza. DH just asked what to do with the passata sauce! I'm on the sofa cuddling the dog we're dog sitting for a pal. DD1 is out with her BF for dinner, and as she's only 15 one of us is not having wine with the pizza. It's roasting here and we've just had a big heavy shower so also humid.

We've been to the beach today. 2.5 hrs each way I'm absolutely zonked! Dp is in the shower, dd1 is getting ready to go pub. Ds is probably already at the pub. Dd2 is in her room dd3 is playing in the garden. I'm about to run a bath for the two youngest and order a takeaway. It's still really hot here so food and movie before bed. Oh and need to walk the dogs later when it cools down.

We're all on various screens with the radio on in the background.
