DP is carrying out some strange chemistry experiment in the kitchen (don't even ask!!)

DS (10) is working on is java script programming following a water fight with the neighbours. I've just found a pile of soaking clothes in the middle of the kitchen floor

I'm exhausted after lots of gardening and walking the dog - I have been thinning out trees and starting to dig out a new flower bed so my shoulders ache from holding the tree cutter and weilding a spade. Need to make dinner (quiche, new potatos and salad for thsose that care )

DD (17) is out. She's been out since noon in the park with her friends and has mainly been eating ice cream, playing mini golf and chatting. She's just asked for some money so they can buy pizzas - apparently deliveroo will deliver to parks!!

The cats and the dog are lying about sleeping having spent most of the day seeking shade and water.

I've been potting up bedding plants in my containers all afternoon so after I cleared up all the mess and washed out the original pots, I had dinner (quiche chips and salad) and now having a beer in the garden before going up for a shower. Got to put away a mound of washing, then I'm going to peruse potential cruises with a glass of wine. DS (22) away at Parklife festival until Monday - his first one, am only a bit anxious (does worrying about your kids ever stop?!)

Ooh so was I!

We've just had dinner on our laps and DH is about to watch the Champions League final. I'll be dicking about on here guilt-free 😊

We had a barbecue, tried to teach DC (8 and 4) to play charades in the garden, but when one of the four year old's answers was penis monkey we gave up with that. Eight year old currently watching champions league final
And four year old watching dinosaurs on his kindle until bedtime (which was twenty mins ago!)

MIL was here this morning and left at lunchtime. Been entertaining my one year old all day and did a dog walk and Tesco shop. ‘D’H has man flu and is playing video games. Baby has birthday next week and I’m celebrating a full year with an average of 5 wake ups a night. Think I might go mad! Have a 4 year old dd asleep upstairs whilst we sit in silence with a baby who will not be put down. Life feels a little dull tbh 😂

DS1 (4.5yo) is asleep, DS2 (2yo) is pissing about in his cot as per usual. I am writing a list of all the things to take to make a 5hr motorway roundtrip with small kids in a car without AC a bit more bearable tomorrow...

Lots of quiches for dinner! I’ve added it to my shopping list for next week! Went to the high street this morning for a coffee and crossaint. Been lazing in the garden (in the shade) since with the baby and DH - had a picnic out there! Now reading in bed.

It’s 9.30am and I’m sitting reading Mumsnet after getting up at 7.30 to get the towels to the laundry (communal laundry, if you want to get things dried you have to get there really early or wait until dark). I just gave the fridge a quick wipe out. Kitties are asleep on my bed after their breakfast and doses of meds, I’m thinking of turning the heater up, and in a minute I’ll have to go and get my mother up (she’s in the adjoining unit, I’m her carer). Fairly standard day except for having got all the washing done!

It’s almost 9:30 am here, Sunday.

I took DD20 to work at 6:30am.
Came home and started up robot vacuum, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Aren’t we fortunate to live in a time of household conveniences!
Fed cat, twice.
Noodled about.
Went and picked DD21 up from her bf after they had a big night out.
Now home and she’s walking the dog.
DH cooking bacon and eggs for breakfast.
I’m back in bed waiting …..

Just got home from Turkey after having a gastric sleeve. Knackered after the 12 hour travelling day, having a protein shake and then bed. Can’t wait to get in my bed!
