'Wildflowers' packet germinated, but what the heck are they?! Plant ID help please

Given a packet of 'wildflower' seeds with absolutely no description. Now they've germinated, needing help with identifying them before I add them to my garden! Or not Grin Google lens not being so helpful.

They're all squat apart from No 1.

VirtuousUpwardSpiral · 09/06/2023 10:35

Good shout.

AdamRyan · 09/06/2023 10:38

I think 4 is foxglove
I know 3 has pink flowers but I can't remember what it's called

AdamRyan · 09/06/2023 10:39

1 might be a cornflower

MysteryPlants · 09/06/2023 10:41

Loving these guesses. I would be happy if it was feverfew! Smile

AdamRyan · 09/06/2023 10:42

Had to Google- think 3 is cranesbill

TheoreticalRefusal · 09/06/2023 10:47

2 looks like comfrey

MysteryPlants · 09/06/2023 11:12

'Reply to' doesn't seem to be working for me, but thank you to everyone who has replied so far. The suggestions don't seem too bad.

I've already taken out the few cornflowers, 3 morning glory (I think!) & 1 cosmos, so it's been reasonably successful so far.

I've been ill for years, so this little project has made me very happy Smile

Just found another! I only have a top view of this one. It's about a foot tall & pretty spindly

Sorry to hear you have been long term ill, that's a bit pants. Nice to hear this little gardening project is a help. (Non mumsnetty hug)

K

AmbleInAnnBoleyn · 09/06/2023 11:22

Sorry for the random K. My phone is an asshole.

MysteryPlants · 09/06/2023 11:51

Bah, why is your 'reply to' working & not mine?! Confused Still not working here.

Anyway, thank you @AmbleInAnnBoleyn for your kind words. Still very unwell (Autoimmune stuff) but I staggered out determined to plant that one packet! Grin

3 is fumitory

CrazyCatLady13 · 09/06/2023 11:58

5 is either feverfew or groundsel, you'll know when it flowers 😊

CrazyCatLady13 · 09/06/2023 12:00

2 might be borage or comfrey. If it gets tall it's comfrey

Itisyourturntowashthebath · 09/06/2023 12:04

Remember one woman's wild flower is another woman's weed and vice versa.

Peacepudding · 09/06/2023 12:08

1 brookweed
2 hounds tongue
3 shepherd's needle
4 campion
5 crown daisy
6 safflower

MysteryPlants · 09/06/2023 13:05

I'll be very happy to have centaurea montana, foxglove, comfrey or borage here! Fingers crossed.

I'll look out for them getting tall @CrazyCatLady13 thank you!

You are absolutely right @Itisyourturntowashthebath! I've always thought that. Until I got long term ill & my 'garden' became full of weeds Sad

That's why I'm so keen not to add anymore Grin

Found a better article about the plant I think is 3, with pics

Thank you @AdamRyan this is a new one on me! There's cranesbill everywhere, but I've never seen cut leaved cranes bill.

Can't wait for all these to start flowering!

Plantnet is a good ID app to have. I use it whenever anything pops up in my garden that I haven't planted. First owner of my home was an avid gardener, second ones destroyed it but first owners legacy lives on and things pop up randomly.
