EVRI have my parcel

I got this email from them yesterday, when do you think I’ll receive this? (looking for glimmers of hope here as want the skirt to wear tonight 😉) .

Remember if you don't, your contract is with the company who provided the skirt, and about bank chargebacks.

You should have had an option to use an alternative carrier when ordering. It should in my opinion be law you are told before paying.

Hopefully you are one of the few whose parcel is delivered.

Dfg15 · 09/06/2023 07:31

Evri are the absolute worst delivery company. They left my parcel recently in a 'safe' place. On my drive in full view of the street!

Whinge · 09/06/2023 07:33

In my area that would mean it would arrive today, and probably before I went to work in the morning.

In other areas it would mean we have it and it will be delivered to someone elses bin in the next few days, on a street with a similar name to yours that is actually 3 hours away. Grin

Davestwattymissus · 09/06/2023 07:35

My new Birkenstocks have been 'processing' at the EVRI hub for a week. Luckily the shop have given me a refund without any argument but they've run out of the ones I wanted amd I really wanted them!

CollieWobbles2023 · 09/06/2023 07:36

Evri have had my Next parcel for 3 weeks. In the end I contacted Next who sent a duplicate to my nearest store. This was Next Day thank goodness.

When I finally get my parcel I'll have to return it.

I don't think Evri will be around for much longer unless they start paying more or find another way to attract drivers - people simply don't want the job!

CollieWobbles2023 · 09/06/2023 07:37

But to answer your question (sorry OP, I went off on one 😂)

If you have an Evri driver hopefully you'll get it today (our Evri driver quit months ago and they've failed to replace him)

Foxesandsquirrels · 09/06/2023 07:37

I would change the delivery place to a safe place. If I don't do this, they lie and say they attempted to deliver and never do. I figured out if I change it to deliver to safe space, they have to actually come.

WolfFoxHare · 09/06/2023 07:39

We eventually received everything EVRI had been hoarding in the run up to Xmas (one item 4 weeks late!), and a couple of weeks ago I got a parcel from M&S a day after EVRI said they’d misplaced it, so I wouldn’t give up hope just yet!

I’ve found if you can redirect it to a local parcel shop as soon as you get their email, you’re more likely to eventually receive it.

RoseDog · 09/06/2023 07:40

Our Evri driver, Richard, is a gem, never had a problem and things even get delivered early!

If I order something and it's coming via Royal Mail I know I'm unlikely to ever see it!

sm40 · 09/06/2023 07:41

If you live where I do I would expect it about 9am. Never had a problem. So 🤞🏻.

Campervangirl · 09/06/2023 07:44

It'll come, never fear!
Btw I love my evri delivery man, he comes in a van with his wife who always waves.
He also delivers to my dsis who lives round the corner, obviously he didn't know that we were sisters, she was at my house when he turned up once and he was so happy and surprised, I couldn't stop laughing, such a lovely chap.
I never had a parcel lost, I must be just lucky.

coffeecupsandwaxmelts · 09/06/2023 07:48

Never had an issue with Evri - always turn up on time.

BreehyHinnyBrinnyHoohyHah · 09/06/2023 07:51

I think it really is down to the driver. In my old house, which was in a small village, everyone knew the Evri driver who also lived there. If you weren't in during the day he would come back in the evening. He was a superstar.

My current one is a bit hit and miss. I've heard that he refuses to deliver to some parts of town where it is difficult to park.

I've also found that if I use the lockers to post stuff via Evri it doesn't get collected for weeks so I have given up using that. Dropping off at the shop seems to work ok.

Evri currently have the rucksack I have ordered for DS to pack for scout camp next week. I'm hoping it will be delivered soon!

Madcats · 09/06/2023 07:54

This must be a geographical thing: My Evri driver is lovely and tends to deliver between 11-12 each morning.

I've also had no issues sending packages via my local parcel shop (invariably getting a photo of the item being delivered the next day).

This reminds me of our old parcel force delivery man. He realised one day that he delivered to both our home and my husband's work address. So from that moment, if we weren't at home to take a parcel, he took it round to DH's office instead! He would always stop for a chat.

SilverOrchid · 09/06/2023 07:56

In my area you’d have it now. I usually get my parcels before 8am the day after Evri receive it.

I know I’m lucky but they are my preferred delivery company!

sevenhusbands · 09/06/2023 07:57

Okay so it’s pretty 50/50 here. They’re normally okay but last thing I ordered they returned to depot as it was ‘larger than expected’ (it was a top) so who knows. Also no further updates since yesterday. I’m being super impatient BUT I REALLY WANT MY SKIRT 😂

golddustwomen · 09/06/2023 07:59

Where I live it would come today. I also love my evri delivery guy, we've had the same one for years and he is sound as a pound. I think we got lucky round here!

sevenhusbands · 09/06/2023 07:59

From yesterday

EVRI have my parcel

scrantonelectriccity · 09/06/2023 08:00

What stage of the tracking is it at? If it's at your local delivery depot then it'll come today. If it's at the national hub then probably tomorrow

sevenhusbands · 09/06/2023 07:59

From yesterday

What does it say on the drop down for "on its way"?

sevenhusbands · 09/06/2023 08:00

Also as an aside I love our parcel force guy, he’s so lovely.

My Evri courier is amazing, she turns up around 9.00/9.30. She's done our route for years so knows all her regulars, where she can leave parcels etc. The only time we've had a problem was when she was on holidays..... Our local Facebook page was full of ring door bell footage of the covering courier standing by the car, just lobbing the parcels at houses, over gates etc 😳 Fingers crossed for your skirts safe and speedy arrival!!

LubaLuca · 09/06/2023 08:05

I'm always glad when something's being delivered by Evri because the woman who delivers to us is so reliable. Once it's 'on its way', I know I'll get it the following day (often late in the day, she covers a large rural area).

No drop down - the circles are highlighted as per its progress (if that makes sense).
