What obscure tv shows do you remember watching, but no one else really watched or remembers it so you feel alone?

I have a few. I used to love watching certain shows but no one I knew watched it. So it felt like I was the only one at times.

Hex
Dollhouse
Dark Angel
Roswell (the original not the newer one)
Firefly

I loved Silas! A lot of 80s kids tv seems to have been badly dubbed, I remember a really badly dubbed version of The Littlest Vampire.

And Heidi,w was also.dubbed badly!

Ihavenoauthority · 04/06/2023 17:27

Revenge! American drama series, never met anyone else who watched it

peachypudding · 04/06/2023 17:28

I loved Angels in the 70s (about nurses) and No Angels in the 90s (also about nurses). I'm not quite sure why I remember these two above others as I am not a nurse!

I'd forgotten about The Mole until I visited Prague and there was so much Mole merch everywhere.

*"Come Back Lucy" there was a ghost (Lucy) that the children in the house could see

"The Peppermint Pig" - cannot find a whiff of it on search and no-one else remembers it*

I remember both of these,@70isaLimitNotaTarget . Can actually picture Peppermint Pig but only remember the story because I later read the book.

Does anyone remember Tottie (I think)? It was about some dolls who lived in a dolls house, one was called Birdie and one was something like Marchpane, and Marchpane burnt Birdie to death. Baring in mind this was a show for kids, it bloody scarred me when I watched it, must have only been about 4 or 5!

Peacepudding · 04/06/2023 17:31

Out of this world. It was about a girl who could stop time by pressing her fingers together and her dad was an alien who she communicated with through a prism. The theme tune was swing on a star. I loved that programme

Anguirus · 04/06/2023 17:31

Mainly kids shows screened in the later 80's - but think they were older -

Ovide's Video
Mr. Rossi
RagDolly Anna

Though I can find YouTube videos of these - I never hear others mention them and never see these referenced in nostalgic interviews and stuff.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 04/06/2023 17:31

Glad to see other people remember Mad Death

The Secret Life of Us. Was Australian, late 90s/early 2000s.

Loved this!

AutisticLegoLover · 04/06/2023 17:34

Kickstart. Motocross type racing. Loved it!

Underthemagnificentbeechtree · 04/06/2023 17:35

@Hairbrushhandle @Geneticsbunny i could have sworn they were monkeys! Did they live above a market? I thought it was Birmingham Rag Market at the time - I often visited with my Mum for her sewing projects.

My contribution to the thread is Century Falls. I have no idea what happened in it but remember it being thrilling. It’s never been repeated I don’t think.

The Flying Doctors. Does anyone remember that?

Yep.

Other Australian shows - The Sullivans, EStreet and the Henderson Kids (Kylie was in it I think).

hotsummerlovin · 04/06/2023 17:35

Naked Video

GenderCriticalTrumpets · 04/06/2023 17:35

Woof! Yes that one was brilliant. There was one episode I dream about sometimes where the kid/dog had to identify why the dog food was not selling as well so he went to the factory and they were putting too much cleaner in the tins...

One I remember was a very strange vampire one on Channel 5 that was dubbed in English? It was very very odd. The Littlest Vampire or something?

BreakfastClubs · 04/06/2023 17:36

Sons and Daughters anyone?

ALongHardWinter · 04/06/2023 17:36

When I was about 7 or 8,I watched a programme called 'Here come The Double Deckers',about a gang of kids who lived on a London double decker bus. It was my favourite TV show as a child, but anyone I've mentioned it to has never heard of it! If it wasn't for the fact that I've looked it up on the internet to confirm that it actually existed,I'd think I imagined it or dreamt it!

I remember this too. It would be on ITV mid morning during school holidays

Sons and Daughters anyone?

Another Aussie one I remember! Can still sing the theme tune.

00100001 · 04/06/2023 17:37

Due South.

Rummikub · 04/06/2023 17:38

I loved Dark Angel. No one I know watched it. And I can’t find it anywhere to rewatch it.

Liked Roswell, the 100, under the dome.

A kids cartoon with a red rocket and a great theme tune. But can’t remember what it was called.

Ultimate favourite which only the odd few I knew watched - Torchwood.

Notworryingdarling · 04/06/2023 17:38

I used to love a programme which I'm sure was in the 6pm channel 4 slot before Hollyoaks roundabout early - mid 90s. It was about a girl who started discovering weird things about her family, starting with that she was actually a year older than she was and she was really angry that she was 16 instead of 15 and should be able to do whatever she wanted. It was set in Liverpool and the girl was blonde. And that's all I really remember! There was some kind of central mystery. Anyone got any idea what this was?

MagicClawHasNoChildren · 04/06/2023 17:39

God, the Devil, and Bob. Loved it. I think it was on BBC2, late one weekday evening. Nobody else seems to have ever heard of it.

And some hospital sitcom with Ade Edmondson in it. Even I can't remember its name, and I (unlike basically everyone else) quite liked it.
