What obscure tv shows do you remember watching, but no one else really watched or remembers it so you feel alone?

I have a few. I used to love watching certain shows but no one I knew watched it. So it felt like I was the only one at times.

Hex
Dollhouse
Dark Angel
Roswell (the original not the newer one)
Firefly

Hickory House with Humphrey cushion and a talking mop, god that shit was weird.

Zoologydragon · 04/06/2023 19:26

@lucylulululu I remember Hodge podge house! Or hitch porch. Whichever it was

I loved Littlest Hobo and I still adore the theme.

Can still make me well up!

Swish of the Curtain with a very young Sarah Greene
The Kids of Degrassi Street. Had to Google the title as only remembered that it was Canadian and had street in the title!

I remember Swish of a Curtain. I would have loved to discover a theatre.

Greenclaws. We watched it in school, but no-one I ask everyone seems to remember it

@excelledyourself I remember greenclaws! They always planted a bean/seed or something and it would grow into something ridiculous at the end like a chocolate bar tree or something 😂😂😂

LorraineInSpain · 04/06/2023 19:26

Alphabet Zoo.

Although in hindsight probably didn’t have the best songs for small children!

Holly the Hedgehog, nobody wants to sleep with her - she’s got prickles, scratch them and they tickle…

(I am not making that up, honestly!)

Dublincailin · 04/06/2023 19:27

Does anyone remember Grizzly Adams?

Zoologydragon · 04/06/2023 19:28

@lucylulululu and @excelledyourself green claws is also one that nobody believes me existed!!!!!

lucylulululu · 04/06/2023 19:29

@Zoologydragon it's definitely hotch potch house, you better believe I seared that name into my brain after the ordeal I've had for years not being believed it exists 🤣🤣🤣 I'm so pleased someone else actually remembers it though!!

AnElegantChaos · 04/06/2023 19:29

@GalileoHumpkins Yup Hickory House was very weird. I'm absolutely convinced the creators of most 70s kids TV shows were on acid.

clpsmum · 04/06/2023 19:30

Small wonder Vicky the robot

Dublincailin · 04/06/2023 19:30

I can also remember a kids series where people were been taken over by aliens though like something absorbing into them.

There is also a memory of kids which could turn into animals.

Not sure if same series.

Any of it sound familiar

Zoologydragon · 04/06/2023 19:30

Not a TV programme but does anyone remember RatherGood.com from the early days of the internet?? I appear to be the only one who has ever heard anything of it 🤣 had these weirdly catch videos and songs that used to make me laugh so much (see username)! 20 years later and I still walk round singing them

Rasputina · 04/06/2023 19:32

House of Rock (I think). It was a short cartoon where Kurt Cobain, Freddie Mercury, John Denver and Notorious B.I.G we’re all housemates in heaven.

SteamFunk · 04/06/2023 19:32

The Adventure Game
Mary, Mungo and Midge
Paper Fun (with Itsy and Bitsy)
Murun Buchstansangur

Never met anyone who knows the last two.

liverpoolgal82 · 04/06/2023 19:32

Cats Eyes.
Loved it, the excitement on the day after having waited a week to watch next one.

GalileoHumpkins · 04/06/2023 19:32

woodhill · 04/06/2023 19:29

And dusty mop😀

Dusty, yes!

AnElegantChaos · 04/06/2023 19:32

@SteamFunk Paper Play?

Zoologydragon · 04/06/2023 19:32

Oooooh and.....

EL NOMBRE!!

Granted he was a sketch thing in another show! I also still quote him and sing his songs 🤣🤣

I love the Lucia books, but that TV series was very much like watching a collection of am-dram plays somehow. Aspects of the books are 'wonderfully camp' but far more subtle than on TV.

Does anyone remember a children's cartoon series from the 1970s called Issy NoHo? I think it was about a panda that lived on someone's tree house. I don't remember it well and have never met anyone else who has seen it.

Yes and was called this because all of the other letters on the crate he was transported in were covered?

Marsyas · 04/06/2023 19:33

I knew noone else would have seen Staying Alive, the weird Jessica Hynes nurse thing, nobody ever has!

How about the series about the half human half gorilla boy with Charles Dance?

The Secret Life of Us. Was Australian, late 90s/early 2000s.

Loved this - might try to find it and rewatch

GalileoHumpkins · 04/06/2023 19:34

Fingerbobs. I've gone down a rabbit hole.

SteamFunk · 04/06/2023 19:35

Children of Fire Mountain. I loved the theme tune so much.
