I've just got up and I'm having a coffee in the garden. DH and DD's still in bed so it's lovely and quiet.
Todays my last day off before back to work tomorrow and the weathers going to be gorgeous again so my plan is to clean this morning, maybe take DD to the park or out somewhere this afternoon followed by a bbq tea and Britain's Got Talent.
What are you all doing today?

Sounds lovely! We are seeing some friends this morning and then I am making an afternoon tea for the family before BGT! All back to work and school tomorrow 😀

mumonthehill · 04/06/2023 08:00

I am just about to go swimming, then will potter and enjoy the sun. Going to the pub for a drink later. Ds revising for exams so will drag him out at some point!

LeonoraFlorence · 04/06/2023 08:00

Sounds lovely, OP. DDs can’t wait for BGT, we are getting a takeaway then watching too.
We are taking the paddle boards and kayak to the beach. Only decided at last minute before bed to change our plans so I feel disorganised already! DH is currently cooking breakfast and DDs are already out in garden playing. I’m still lying in bed (rare) with a coffee and littlest DDs and don’t relish the thought of getting up and organised.
Hope you enjoy your last day off in the sunshine.

Also hoping for a relaxing, quiet day, seem to have been quite busy recently (by my standards !). We have an 'Open Gardens' afternoon in our local village so planning on visiting there with my elderly DM and then an easy prawn and avocado salad meal this evening .. even BBQs seem an effort sometimes.

DianeNguyen · 04/06/2023 08:11

I’m so torn between going out for a walk & lunch, or staying home and vegging out. Haven’t really been anywhere the last week so I might force us out for the morning! Has to be somewhere with s cafe though as I’m not in the mood to sort a picnic.

CrackersCheeseAndWinePlease · 04/06/2023 08:13

We've been quite busy over half term so I'm looking forward to a quieter day. DH currently has some weird virus bug, not covid but like covid so not sure how much input I'll get from him today

Got up and found the freezer had stopped working, just spent a happy hour trying to get it going, re-boot seems to have worked this time and it is cooling down, time for a strong coffee.

Hope the day gets better from here, gardening mainly, and the sun is out!

RocketIceLollie · 04/06/2023 08:16

We've got a BBQ at my parents for my brother's birthday. All the kids will be there. Should be a nice day.

DH and I are staying at a spa hotel! It has been lovely. We will go and have breakfast soon, go to the spa then collect the DC from my DParents in the afternoon.
Glad I did all the washing and cleaning on Friday so can relax when we get home! DC are keen to watch BGT this evening.

Not an awful lot planned! Had a reasonably busy half term (lots of playdates) so need to recover from that.

DH & DS2 & DS3 will wash the car then pop to Halfords to buy something to cover some scratches we have noticed 😬 DS1 is going away first thing on Tuesday so I will be washing everything he owns & he will pack. Also need to buy some English food for his exchange host. Then maybe try to list some more bits on Vinted. We hopefully go away on Friday & I would like to have £200 by then, currently at £160.

Itwasgoodwhileitlasted · 04/06/2023 09:12

I'm in hayfever quarantine. Feeling very disappointed because it's such a lovely sunny day and DH has taken DS to a football festival with a BBQ.

Might chance nipping to the shops later and the gym. Indoor things only. Bahhh

Myn · 04/06/2023 09:19

We have a couple of family birthdays next week so I have to go into town to pick some gifts up, my entire house is beyond needing a tidy which with a one year old is proving near on impossible for us pick a few bits for next week's pack ups up think we will have a chicken in the ninja for tea.

Funkyslippers · 04/06/2023 09:19

About to make pancakes for DD, then off to bodypump. This afternoon DD has a party in the local park and I need to go through some drawers and get rid of the crap that's built up in there, with a bit of sunbathing and reading too. Back to work tomorrow after being off for half term 😭

Rainbowsandfairies · 04/06/2023 09:36

I didn't get to sleep til 6am as one of my daughters has been ill all night. Lazy day here, sunbathing and going for a walk ( with 2 children, oh will stay with unwell daughter). My daughters are looking forward to BGT final 😀

Berlinlover · 04/06/2023 09:39

I’m working 12 to 9 today.

Teabab · 04/06/2023 09:41

Sounds lovely! I'm not sure yet, back to school etc tomorrow so thinking a nice relaxed day in the garden with DS and DH as its been quite a hectic half term. We don't have BBQs much but might do some chicken with baked potatoes and salad, my favourite in this weather!

Funkyslippers · 04/06/2023 09:45

As DD1 is in her 1st year at uni, it's the first year in about 12 years I haven't seen any of bgt! DD2 not interested....!

Hairfriar · 04/06/2023 09:46

I love these posts, gives me the feeling of limitless possibilities. But I do wonder how some of you fit it all in.

I want a lovely relaxed day in the garden enjoying the sunshine, but I’ve been at work all week and my teenagers have spent way too much time on their computers over half term, so I’m determined to get them out of the house. I’m going to tempt them with the idea of cinema/lunch in town.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 04/06/2023 09:47

Flew over to Ireland yesterday for my cousins wedding today and then back home tomorrow

CrackersCheeseAndWinePlease · 04/06/2023 09:49

DH is up, still not feeling 100% but he's agreed to do the bbq later, he sees it as 'his job' 😂
DD has a training day tomorrow so she's back on Tuesday. I absolutely love half term spending time with everyone, I work term time, only 7 weeks til summer holidays!

DaisyDaisyDaisyDaisyDaisyDaisy · 04/06/2023 09:51

I'm going to have a clear out and see how much stuff I can get onto Vinted/Ziffit after massively overspending in town yesterday. To then find I'd lost my parking ticket and had to pay the lost ticket fee.. £25!!

Bonding · 04/06/2023 09:52

Lunch in the garden and a bit of reading, very minimal chores. Going for a walk down the canal this afternoon probably stop for a beer at one or two of the pubs. Watch a film in the evening.

BrutusMcDogface · 04/06/2023 09:54

I have all the tidying and cleaning to do before we all go back to school tomorrow! I hand also left my work til the last minute which is how I work these days. Enjoy the hols and then cram in the work last thing. God knows how I’m going to get my reports done! 😱😂

It will all get done, though. I’m feeling quite positive about going back as there are only seven weeks to go til the summer. They will be a very busy and hectic seven weeks but will go quickly and then fingers tightly crossed for a different LSA team next year!! Seven weeks to go. I can do this 💪
