What are you doing today?

I've just got up and I'm having a coffee in the garden. DH and DD's still in bed so it's lovely and quiet.
Todays my last day off before back to work tomorrow and the weathers going to be gorgeous again so my plan is to clean this morning, maybe take DD to the park or out somewhere this afternoon followed by a bbq tea and Britain's Got Talent.
What are you all doing today?

Just got back from dropping daughter off at the yard and walking the dogs. She'll probably be out with the horse and her friends most of the day so me and husband are just going to loaf. I'll probably sit in the garden and read, he'll hide in the house 3 inches away from his fan moaning about the heat and eating ice cream!

Had a really busy, social day yesterday with lots of walking involved, so doing glorious NOTHING today.

DH & teens out all day at a sports event. I’m going to potter. Bit of housework, pop to the shops, then coffee & book in the sun and maybe a long bath later.

6 weeks, 2 days for me! Cannot wait to break up for summer!

I've have just got home from a bounce class. DH is weeding, Ds1 is revising and ds2 is snuggling with the cat.
Hopefully have quiet day. Back to school and work tomorrow so will make sure all homework and uniforms are ironed. I think we might fire up the bbq again as we still have burgers and sausages left over from yesterday

I'm just stopping for a coffee in the garden between hoovering & mopping the kitchen. Then dressed, dog for a walk & swim in the river. Couple more loads of washing, then the inevitable what's for tea...

After a week of going to festivals, a gig and a rather long drive, DH and I intend to do as little as possible. I'm currently languishing outside with a glass of fizzy water and a good book, with TheDog snoring at my feet. Perfect

You can do this! When the dc were younger that was also me - they're teenagers now so I have written my reports this week, but only because we've got a hectic few weekends ahead.

I'm sitting in the garden with a coffee. DD is texting me maths questions from her homework!

Later seeing family for an hour. Then some time in the hammock with a book.

I also have an academic article to finish - but currently writing it only for myself, so it's one of those self-imposed deadlines that might get ignored in favour of the sun!

Long run, house work, roast (time to take this off my menu I think but DS2 loves a roast potato)

We're having a fairly lazy day in the garden - my mum is coming over for a barbecue lunch and I want to put a few plants in but that's about as far as the plans have got.

I do envy those of you who live close enough to the beach to go for the day. We're in the landlocked midlands and it's a good couple of hours to the nearest coast. We do have family in Suffolk though and will be there next weekend for dh's birthday so hopefully this weather will hold.

Waiting for food shopping to arrive them were heading out for a canal walk. We'll have lunch on route and maybe hit the sprinkler park on the way home (it's just round the corner from us so if weather holds I can nip home for cossies and towels). If not we have a choice of park.... I want them all tuckered out for bd later.

Fajitas for dinner, then baths and last of the homework and probably a film. The Harry Potters are now all on Netflix so we're working our way through them again. (10yo is also reading them, for the 3rd time)

I'll probably watch an episode of The Crown after kids go to bed. I'm a bit late to the party but mid way through series 3.

I'd like to take the dogs out into the deep countryside but realistically it'll be another day of work, caring, cleaning, laundry, dishes, and whatever else I'm needed for. Hoping to fit in a bit of studying too.
Yesterday was nice, we sat on the wall at the seaside for an hour and just watched the world go by.

Done 2 loads of washing, inside is pretty clean and tidy since we have hosted 2 rather crazy parties one Friday and one Saturday, dh and I have been really diligent about tidying as we go along! Outside needs a sweep and the furniture rearranging (some needs putting away now), could do with a jet wash but probably not today. Both dds are out working for the day so just dh ds and I. Will go for a walk and maybe lunch somewhere and then having a bbq later on. Dd1 is off travelling for a few months on Thursday so will be nice to have one last Sunday with her and all of us together.
Just want to make the most of this weather today, anything indoors can wait.

DH is cutting back the side of a very wispy hedge to put up fencing that tennis balls cannot go through. DS2 is waiting to get into the cricket net next to this to practice shots. DS1 is on a hike with the Scouts having done his first ever night away with them (no news is good news, right?). I’m about to label up a pile of random bits of uniform then put on a roast. All serene here!

Had 2 loads of washing hanging out on the line before 10am.
Had a leisurely breakfast sitting outside in the garden.
Played some tennis with DH then home for lunch.
Planning to do a little bit of work in the garden then sit out and read my book/listen to music.

Ended up going for brunch, a quick look at Superdrug to buy allergy stuff and copious amounts of sunscreen and then home for laundry/baking scones/a quick dip in the paddling pool and nail painting for everyone. I feel pretty chilled so I’m happy with my choices! I even stayed hydrated, yay me.

Trying to finish my book while cooking the dinner. I’m just about to have a rosé in the garden so may not even accomplish these tasks
