Beyoncé - how the hell to get there/back on Saturday

I've tickets to Beyoncé on Sat but there's a train strike! Assuming I can get in to London, how do I get to Tottenham stadium from there?

If the tubes are running you can get to Seven Sisters and walk - it's around 30mins to the stadium. Be warned though it's horrendous getting back with the crowds and the area is pretty sketchy especially at night

PawsAndReflection · 01/06/2023 20:01

Download Citymapper- I won't travel around london without it! It's super detailed and the buses in LDN are pretty good

Wowzel · 01/06/2023 20:03

Where do you live?

TheSnowyOwl · 01/06/2023 20:04

Tube will be fine to use.

Smallinthesmoke · 01/06/2023 20:07

The traffic will be terrible so I strongly advise that you don't try to drive or Uber it unless you want to sit in gridlock. Walking from Seven Sisters sounds sensible. Set off early!
Enjoy!

Coming from Woking. So I could drive and park near Victoria and get tube there? Assuming sketchy area wombat be an issue if I'm with 900000 other people walking to the tube

🤔

Saw some TikToks about this. Advice was if you walk about half an hour to another station (think video example was Silver Street?) then it's much easier and fewer crowds than the nearest station.

doubleshift · 01/06/2023 20:12

This is such a joy killer 😭😭😭

If you are near woking - you could drive up to Iver or Langley? Then catch the Elizabeth line into London - assuming it's running

Divebar2021 · 01/06/2023 20:17

I had to get to Lizzo on a train strike day and I drove to Morden and got the northern line although I’m closer than you are. There are car parks at Morden if that helps. Good luck

CrumbliestCrumble · 01/06/2023 20:17

We drove and used my parking space, was a 5 min walk from the stadium. Paid 16 to park

CrumbliestCrumble · 01/06/2023 20:18

Oh And the ulez was about 15 iirc

Divebar2021 · 01/06/2023 20:19

A friend had tickets for something at Stratford on a train strike day and the local car park charges increased to something ridiculous like £170. I didn’t even know that some car parks changed their pricing.

Phoebewillow · 01/06/2023 20:20

Drove from lincolnshire. Parked at fleece field primary school, 30 mins walk away, was easy and got straight out on to north circular

Comedycook · 01/06/2023 20:22

Parking in central London is an expensive nightmare. You're better off parking somewhere suburban on a tube line...

Circleoffifths · 01/06/2023 20:23

Do you mind me asking what time it starts OP? Is it 5pm? We live on the bus route and are expecting the buses to be rammed. I will be out with DD at a different event and am just trying to plan our route home by bus to avoid the Beyoncé crowds.

Tube to Seven Sisters would be your best bet I think and then walk or maybe a bus for a few stops. I have been up that way before on a bus when the football is on and have seen people get on at Seven Sisters for a couple of stops if they have young children. Most adults with no mobility issues will walk it.

doubleshift · 01/06/2023 20:23

@Phoebewillow do you have a link?

We're going to BST to see Bruce Springsteen and I booked an NCP car park, was £28 for the whole day. I was quite impressed and it's only a 20 minute walk away.

doubleshift · 01/06/2023 20:55

Thanks @Phoebewillow that looks like an option
Otherwise I will park suburban and get tube to/from Seven Sisters

@Circleoffifths opens at 5 and she's on at 7.30 I believe

Thanks @doubleshift - enjoy the concert!

kitsuneghost · 01/06/2023 22:56

Remember the FA cup final is on too so parking may be busy. You can get websites where people rent their drive out you can look at. At least you are guaranteed parking.

Now, what to wear ...
