How many countries have you visited?

A work colleague has just hit her 100th country. She goes on some bonkers trips (North Korea anyone!) and some are amazing- the 5 Stans looked fab.

I came to travel late as I had never been out of England until I was 19. However, for interest really, I started writing down all the countries I have been to and it totals 35.

DD is 22 and has been to 25 already!

19 including the UK nations - and all of these are in Europe - some I've only travelled through and others have been multiple times.

26, at 45 years old. Lived in 4 (including England) for a decent period (9 months +). Rattled through a few when interrailing at 19.

Was due to add another next week, but we've had to cancel due to DC illness 😭

23 so far. I’m 31.

Would love to get to around 100 in my lifetime!

Canada and Finland are on the list for the next couple of years.

23 here, counting all Uk countries as 1. After the last thread on this I downloaded the Been app and it counted up for me. Also told me I'd been to 5 continents

75 not including the 4 uk countries.

11, or 15 if we count the home nations.

33. I moved to the Middle East 15 years ago and it's such a great base for travel.

Can't wait to do more but like a PP said we tend to revisit countries we love like Oman..we go there twice a year.

Only 6 and that is counting England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland 🙈 (France and Greece are the other two!).

I have Croatia on my bucket list.

I only have one child and I'm vegan. I feel this more than cancels out my travel 🤪

I've lived in 5 countries though and visited others multiple times (like 20+), so while my overall tally of different countries isn't very high, I've spent a lot of time abroad.

About 30. Growing up, we couldn't afford to travel. DD (14) has been to 19 already. I'm sure she'll end up surpassing me.

Just had a quick count I am at 53 and lived in 4 countries (including Uk) for a year or more all on different continents

England, Scotland, France and the USA. That’s a hell of a lot of flying from Australia, but there isn’t anywhere closer I was - or am - interested in visiting.

I’ve just counted 60 - had never counted them before. I lived in 6, so often travelled regionally rather than transcontinentally.

18, I'm 33 years old. Quite a respectable number considering I had a baby when I was 18 so travel has been limited.

16, and due to visit another later this year. I have young children so my opportunities are limited, I’d love to take them to different countries when they are a little older and can appreciate, I didn’t go on holiday abroad until I was 20!

11 in total. Have stayed long term in three out of these - England, Wales, Scotland, Singapore, India, France, Spain, Switzerland, Greece, Netherlands and Turkey. Really impressed by how well travelled you all are!
