Jack Jones/Philip Schofield viral video

Has anyone seen this! Apparently years ago this YouTube pranksters let off an indoor confetti cannon in a restaurant where Philip Schofield was having a meal with a teenage boy! I think the video was from 2013! The guy who took the video, Jack Jones, has now come out to say that Philip begged him not post the video. If you watch it it's really creepy!

What were his parents thinking letting him go out with Pip?

I think he was the son of family friends which actually makes it creepier.

Size is not an indicator but if PS is, what, 5 foot seven then the boy would be around five foot 2 based on what I can see in the video. There aren't may full grown, white, adult males of that size. Most seventeen year old boys haven't gone fully through puberty.

Im wrecking my brains trying to think what a grown man could have in common with a teenager. Its creepy to me. Alot of images circulating of PS with the Young man and it all stinks to me.

Let's face it. If that lad was a 16/17 year old girl people would definitely see it as creepy and wrong.

I also saw the video years ago. Are there really people who didn’t know MM’s name or anything about this story until now? I thought everyone knew. I feel like I’ve known this for years and it’s been on Twitter for so long yet only now anyone seems to be taking any notice of it 🤔

Depends entirely on how old the boy actually is…does anyone actually know? Has he ever commented on it?

I think something sexual may have been assumed much quicker if you were to see him and a young female runner out for lunch/drinks but because it’s a young man and people didn’t know he was gay, it may have just looked like a work related thing or two friends (with a big age gap) having lunch. I don’t know how common it is for people like Dermot to go out for lunch with young runners (male or female) alone after the show but I imagine that doesn’t happen so definitely raises alarm bells!

I haven't seen the video but it seems this young man is jumping on the bandwagon.
That said, I'm pretty sure there's more shit likely to hit the fan regarding PS and his " friends"

Work experience kids are usually taken out by, say, a supervisor or manager at the end of a placement. You would not expect the top ITV presenter to do this, although he was a family friend. The video does not prove or disprove. The activity behind the scenes does.

It smacks of Rolf Harris who also sexually abused underaged teenagers in exchange for career opportunities.

Don’t think he did. He was making a video to celebrate a million followers, lets off a confetti bomb thing and speaks to his camera, then realises PS is to the side of him and says something like Hi Phil how’s it going?
Without knowing what we know now it could look like he’s out with son, nephew, other family member.

There are a hell of a lot of people surrounding PS in whose best interest it was to turn a blind eye.
His wife (the ultimate doormat) and it seems, his daughters too (who all benefitted financially).
HW and Dan Baldwin whose livelihood depends on the show.
And many others.

MM was more like the nephew of PS' friends who was looking for a career in TV.

I heard that PS' current house was vandalized this weekend. It is in a residential built up area although he hasn't been home for a while.

Rolf Harris took his daughter Bindi's friend on holiday and sexually abused her on sleepovers. There was also the allegations about Max Clifford claiming to be related to Cubby Broccoli in order to groom a teenager.

To answer pp above, we haven't been told exactly how old the runner MM is, presumably because that might be identifying and right now he doesn't want to be identified 'officially' iykwim. The Mail is saying 'mid 20s'.

A pp says that they read he was born in 1996, but I suspect that's something put out by the PR crisis management team to try to make it all look less grim.

Plus, we don't know how many boys and young men are actually involved in this burgeoning story anyway.

I don't know the exact age of Timothy Schofield's victim either, but we know he was young. The article below indicates the victim gave evidence that he was 13 when the abuse started in 2016. Philip Schofield says he was only told about it by his brother later in 2021 and said he told Timothy that it was wrong.

But those protestations from PS to his brother - that it's wrong even at age 18 - ring hollow now.

I just really hope that guy is getting support as much as possible.
I also hope this doesn't snowball into a ring which is what happened with Saville and the likes of.

It also makes me wonder that when Rylan recently said about a well known individuals being exceptionally rude to a backstage hand and he stepped in, whether that was PS? He refused to say but I seem to recall he said people would be shocked because the TV persona is often a mask for their ego and real attitude. Rylan also seems close to Ruth Langsford who also whistleblew along with Dr Ranj Singh and was shunted from the show.

I know there was a piece in the press regards the guy who ran the drama club MM was at when he was introduced to PS. That it needs to be said what he knew and what part he played in it.

As for how did people know about MM, twitter is a funny part of the internet. There is all manner of rumour and gossip on there about all manner of people including Royalty. Because it's worldwide and injunctions made here don't count in other countries, it's just a huge cauldron of speculation.
I seem to recall Ryan Giggs was named on twitter as the player with a super injunction quite a while ago and the law had no idea what to do as it was the internet.

Just as an aside, I also googled PS to see how old he is (61) and noticed that his two daughters have their mother's surname. This must be such a nightmare for all of his family. What a selfish, selfish man.

yup, that be me, I didn't know PS from Random person on streets until this story blew up. I did not know the initials of the young lover (or victim if you presume) were MM. I still don't know who Jack Jones is (does he flog a clothing line?). I picked up a story in last few weeks about PS's brother convicted for a crime & he fell out with another tv person (HW); this info would not have entered my awareness if I didn't browse MN threads.

It is him and his picture is available everywhere. The video has been around a long time too. How old was he then though as at the moment it's quoted as he met him when he was 15 but surely he was much younger if this was 2013/2014?

He was born in 1996.

PS condemning his brother (pot and kettle) just lifted the lid on their common behaviour. Considering how long he had dodged the rumours he probably expected to get away with it.

Yes it was all over twitter in 2020 but was swept under the carpet so it does make you wonder what has happened for it all to come up again now.

Surely in his position he should've reported his brother because being the brother of a very well known presenter, it was always going to come out. PS waiting until it gets to court to condemn him and hiding for a fortnight by not presenting This morning made me question his attitude. Especially since I'd already heard in 2019 that there were rumours about MM and how he was 12 or even 10 when they met.
