How many sausages would you give your 11 year old? These are taste the difference ones, so biggish.

OP posts:
EmpressSoleil · 25/05/2023 17:32

2 maybe 3 if they were really hungry!

ghostbusters · 25/05/2023 17:33

My 11 year old son world eat one but he might want (most of a) second one too but he chooses to have small portions.

Littleroundsponge · 25/05/2023 17:33

I'd probably give 3

Alargeoneplease89 · 25/05/2023 17:33

2 but purely depends on your child... are they male / female - sporty - big/small appetite, what is it served with etc

MaryJean87 · 25/05/2023 17:33

2 and give them another one if they were still hungry after that.

Bringonthesunforthewashing · 25/05/2023 17:34

My son would eat 4 if I let him - but 2 he would get

Rummikub · 25/05/2023 17:36

1.5-2

CrumbliestCrumble · 25/05/2023 17:37
  1. Tesco finest or butcher ones so similar size

My pre school dc and reception dc have 2 each! They love them its a guaranteed favourite.

Eldest has 4! So do i. :/

MistyFrequencies · 25/05/2023 17:39

3 or 4. But i have a 4 year old who is a bottomless pit and would easily eat 3 so my opinion may be skewed by him. My 6 year old would eat 1.

fdgdfgdfgdfg · 25/05/2023 17:50

At that age I could happily have eaten a whole pack of 8. I was a hoover when it came to food, was constantly starving and built like a beanpole.

Unfortunately its left me with greedy tendancies as an adult and I'm now a fat guy.

ThreeRingCircus · 25/05/2023 17:52

2 or 3. I would give 3 to an adult so depends on how big their appetite is.

cafecreme · 25/05/2023 17:57

I give two sausages and they never ask for more, teens here.

Last night we had quesadillas and they did ask if there was any left so not shy in asking for food if still hungry.

PickAChew · 25/05/2023 18:01

For those ones that come in 400g packs of 6, 2. They can be about 200 calories each! We're a household of adults and older teens and we have 2 or 3, depending on what else is on the plate.

Lonelycrab · 25/05/2023 18:03

2 large ones, or 4 of the smaller ones (chipolatas?) as he’s having right now. Ds is 11.

Same! After school club left my 6yo alone with the hot dogs. He ate 7 before they found him.

HappiDaze · 25/05/2023 18:09

As many as they need to feel full my DS could have eaten 2-6

HappiDaze · 25/05/2023 18:12

And DS has never been overweight.

He's a bottomless pit when it comes to food and has full access to whatever he needs between meals.

EggInANest · 25/05/2023 18:12
CreamTeaThievery · 25/05/2023 20:12

2 maybe 3 depending what was with it. Same as I would serve myself.

highlandspooce · 25/05/2023 20:14

You people are not real mumsnetters Shock

Surely a sausage would feed the whole family for a couple of days Smile

PrincessHoneysuckle · 25/05/2023 20:19

3

Rummikub · 25/05/2023 20:21

Well...
i was going to post what we actually did this week but thought I’d be mocked.

6 pack sausages
3 in sausage pasta fed two of us over two days
the other 3 in sandwiches for 2 days for 2 ( me and teen dd)

What does sex have to do with it?

TooBusyGazingAtStarss · 25/05/2023 22:55

Funnily enough we had sausage and mash tonight, we had 6 chipolatas each... I give my toddlers 4 each... but they're only skinny sausages so thats about right if 4 skinny sausages would make 2 fat ones.. right? Or are we sausage mad here? Ha!

WhereTheSuburbsMeetUttoxeter · 25/05/2023 22:59

Boy, aged 11 - three with dinner, then a couple of cold ones on the side for a sausage sarnie if needed.

Dustbins!

He's nearly 30 now, 6'6 and skinny as a rake. Eat more sausages!
