Well I have plan at least.

  1. Sell this house
  2. Buy little house
  3. Give notice at current job.
  4. Find remote PT job
  5. Earn enough to cover outgoings (no mortgage thankfully)
  6. Spend my time doing what makes me happy.

I'm not spending what time I have left bloody working full time. The time between now and retirement will just be wasted years.

Wish me luck! Adventures here I come Grin

Aww Anglesey is so beautiful. I loved visiting there. When are you and your partner moving?

Congratulations I commented on your thread back in May.

The conversation prompt with DH has meant some action. He got his pension projection and we looked at all our finances with a fine tooth comb. We are far better off than we thought, it was a bit of a lovely shock really.

We have travelled round some areas we like. They are only around 45 mins from where we live. DS also announced that he will be moving in with his long term GF. We have visited some motorhome places and are hiring one first to see if we like it.

Plan is DH retires in two years. We buy a motorhome and when he retires go off for a few months in it. We then return for a month and then go off to America and Canada for a few months, we have relatives there.

We have told no one of our plans except DS and his GF as they are part of it as they will live in our house when we are away for the year. It’s hard times for a lot of people and I can imagine a couple of relatives will be very snippy about it.

@TeaMistress Christmas 🎄

We live about 30 mins away but it'll be a new start for us both. So exciting. DP is Welsh (speaking) and I'm Welsh (non speaking) he'll be fine but I'll need to pull my finger out and learn to Siarad pdq.

Anglesey is beautiful but then so is most of North Wales.

@Knightsrest

I'm so thrilled for you. It's so exciting isn't it. Filling your life with what makes you happy. It's the beginning of an adventure for both of us. Good luck! I wish happy travels, beautiful sunsets and many,many sunrises.

Oh how lovely. You and your partner will be in your new home for Christmas. I loved North Wales and would love to come back soon. Such an amazing place and so peaceful.
