Eg Camilla and Julia are a gay couple who had IVF. They will carry each other's eggs and donor sperm.

Or Stuart and Francis who managed to have two friends who would birth children for them.

I'm so invested in C&J. They seem like a lovely couple. They won't show their child online, however S&F do,

Are the mothers involved in the lives of the children of the second couple?

Why would you implant each other's foreign eggs when the IVF outcomes are poorer and riskier, when you could just implant your own?

And surrogacy is a fucking morality shit show.

But back on topic, no I don't.

D20 · 22/05/2023 19:07

In a round about way I suppose. I wouldn’t follow a grammer whose whole thing was about babies anyway but if they did stuff that interests me and happen to be gay (I’m going by their names so forgive me if it’s more complex than that) and have kids it wouldn’t turn me off them. If they started spouting how quirky/unique they are like they were the only gay couple to have ever raised kids that would be an instant turn off for me in the same way some heterosexual Instagrammers think no one ever cleaned their house before they came on the scene lol.

Florissante · 22/05/2023 19:07

No.

The ladies that gave birth to their first son Rio is very much in his life! I assume they will have the same with their 2nd baby that's on the way possibly.

I love Stuart and Francis OPGrin I enjoy watching their videos very much.

mollibu · 22/05/2023 19:09

Lady* just the one!

I'm guessing it's so the children are both of theirs, I didn't know about the outcomes. Agree about surrogacy, I think a coparenting arrangement with the mothers would be preferable.

Silvergoldandglitter · 22/05/2023 19:12

Also Caitlin and Leah too.

LittleFreakJezebel · 22/05/2023 19:13

I don't follow either couples but Stuart and Francis and Caitlin and Leah all come up on my TikTok regularly.

Camilla and Julie very occasionally pop up, Caitlin and Leah don't share pics/vids of their son either.

They are in the sense of known surrogacy. The ladies were/are "friends" of the gay couple.... the First Lady has her own family, husband, children. Second I don't know too much about. They are all on the mens social media.

Imagine if you fall out......

No idea. Probably because it's two women using science to make something unnatural?

LittleFreakJezebel · 22/05/2023 19:15

And yes Rio's birth mum is very involved, she looked after him recently when they went away for a couple of nights, I assume as the second surrogate is also an old friend it will be the same with her and the new baby.

QuinnofHearts · 22/05/2023 19:15

Dislike Stuart and Francis immensely. I think I'm the only one.

I don't particularly dislike them (as I said I don't follow so don't see loads of their videos) but certainly don't get the love for them!

No

I've never heard of any of those people.

There's nothing unnatural about the baby which is born. But choosing to proceed in this way places more importance on provenance of the child than on its health.

Make of that what you will.

I don't understand why they don't just get the sperm and put in on their cervix. Surely that's the cheapest and lesser invasive method?

The lady has already had one IVF cycle not work, one miscarriage and this one seems to be ok.

The older lady is the one providing the eggs, she was supposed to carry first but didn't because the clinic stayed at 32 she should be better to get her eggs retrieved.

I'm not in that type of relationship and they have lots of money, so can do what they want.

I don't understand how same sex relationships bond because only one carried.

@nubtheoryhhh all ten!

  • Stuart doing little to no parenting. Openly admitting to never changing nappies.
  • their child's face being everywhere, I'd recognise Rio in public I've seen him that much.
  • the adverts... so many. They did a pampers advert where Rio had a pooami, poor kid has this on the internet forever.
  • comments about feeding Rio only breast milk. Francis stated that Rio is so healthy due to breast donor milk and he wouldn't have got that from formula. Nothing to do with their fantastic lifestyle meaning Rio had never experienced cold, poor diet, poor lifestyle etc.
  • every part of their life is documented. Nothing is private for their son or the new baby. We literally saw the new baby being created.

Is it not true about breast milk?

I'm just so weird about surrogacy and especially men, that i try and watch them to stop my bad thoughts.

Their life is all so perfect....
