Do you think he'll continue elsewhere or fade away?

I'm still not sure John Leslie did anything wrong?

Always seemed a case of young women throwing themselves at him and him enjoying it.

It was alluded to in someone's book that he raped her. That plus his reputation for making women uncomfortable and as someone else said being a bit "handy" he was gone.

Tattle is an interesting read about Schofe. Everyone is anticipating massive news breaking about him and it appears to be of the nature he and his brother are not too dissimilar

Alison Hammond no doubt. Smacks of Apple TVs morning show.

It will be split between her, holly, Dermot and rylan I think

All the threads about this presenter and that programme rather give the lie to Mumsnet being predominantly middle class.

😂😂😂

Good grief. Its obviously not ver middle class in here. People talking about holidays for a family if 5 for a fortnight being £2k and buying all their clothes off vinted

C1N1C · 20/05/2023 17:36

I think this is unfair. Sure, the rest of the world can judge a paedophile, but I don't think anyone has the right to criticise someone for sticking by a family member.

Stellawella · 20/05/2023 17:37

I’ve been living under a stone. I know about the brother but why the fall out with HW?

Oooo maybe a Sunday paper drop? Seems a bit odd to announce it on a Saturday with immediate effect.

Why did he leave?

ITV told him to

Namechange9625 · 20/05/2023 17:42

Why is this headline news on the BBC?

Holly should do the decent thing and step down as well. She's enabled him all of these years and then chucked him under the bus when it suited her. They should both be gone.

This ☝️☝️☝️☝️

Anyone with common decency would not stick by a paedophile family member. It makes you as bad as them!

There’s more to come, The Daily Mail has had a hate campaign on the pair of them, there must be more to come out.

I agree, the fail knows something. They only go after someone when they have dirt and can’t say what it is. Isn’t there a super injunction or something about to end? Something is about to come out. The media have went after him hard as have most of his colleagues. So something is going to be revealed.

WildFlowerBees · 20/05/2023 17:54

It's unfair to point the finger at the parents of a paedophile but standing by someone who abused a child is not something anyone should do.

I absolutely agree it is reprehensible, but let's say it was your son... There are many mothers in here and many sons; how many would stand by them? I personally wouldn't, but I have no son, so it is difficult to say, but I'm sure many still would.

I'm just saying I don't think you should be punished for loving a family member...

Loving is not the same as condoning

But he hasn't stuck by his brother. He disowned him once it became public even though he failed to report it and was happy to stick by him as long as nobody knew about his brother's disgusting behaviour. It just shows how self serving and manipulative PS really is.

Pandorapitstop · 20/05/2023 18:27

He won’t be worried about paying his gas bill, anyway.

Eudaimonia5 · 20/05/2023 20:05

I reckon a story is due to come out about him, maybe the one about the runner that got hushed up.

It's very suspicious him leaving with immediate effect after 20 years, no leaving show or goodbye. When Fern Britton left, she had a last show where she said goodbye.

If my DC did that... no. Sorry. I would NOT stand by them or speak to them ever again.

@TheSpottedZebra

Ah that's grim. I only ever read stories about girls going back to his flat, playing strip poker and suddenly finding themselves half naked!!!
