I'm thinking of including some form of cheeky poem in my 'save the date' card, but not sure if it is a bit naff...

Something like

Pineapple are yellow
Sometimes they are pink

Etc

Are pineapples sometimes pink??? 🤯

Well, firstly, it's not "an invite", it's "an invitation". Secondly, your guests will judge you for any kind of poem - totally cringe.
Most elegant would be a plain, engraved (black script on white card) invitation just with the basic facts of the date, time and venue. Keep it simple and classic.

Does anyone else not understand this at all? Why a poem about pineapples on a wedding invitation? Or do I need a glass of ?

I suspect the reason not many have said it is naff, is because we are still waiting for you to explain what you are talking about.

As a starting point, putting a poem on a Save the Date card does sound like it is going to be naff, but it might be that you are going to explain yourself at some point.
