Anyone else disappointed with Vinted?

I've so far "bought" 7 items from Vinted. 4 of which have since been refunded because they've never been posted. One of them, that had been listed for 4 months, was refunded because her printer was broken. But re-listed straight away. That one, I got a friend to buy for me, and that sale was cancelled too. Why bother to offer stuff for sale if you don't actually want to part with it?

I've had some amazing buys from Vinted.
I've had one cancellation.
I haven't any problem selling either.

Vinted are completely and unashamedly uninterested in customers being scammed on their site. If someone sells you a broken item even knowing sending you very damaged or faulty items you still have to return the item at cost to yourself unless the seller (scammer) agrees to pay. Which doesn't happen as what scammer is going to pay to have their trash sent back to them. I've bought several things off vinted that contained fake pictures on the listing.

Vinted are not concerned. They make it your responsibility that you have been scammed. Works out better for them as if you have to return broken items at your own cost and time you are less likely to return them. So they get to make money off the transaction regardles. They seem to like it that way and have no care for making it any different.😥

I LOVED it at first as a seller. People were buying something every day. Even buying multiple items at a time. Made a decent amount of money. Lots of good reviews.
Then pretty much overnight views and sales stopped.
Not had anything in weeks now except fake accounts wanting to buy.
I think the algorithm gets you to like it at the beginning then stops showing your items so you pay for bumps or highlighting your wardrobe. It's rubbish now.

Same. I've just taken everything to the charity shop, I was selling loads and now it's totally dried up.

I have had such fantastic, genuine, branded bargains and so many helpful sellers that the odd lack of response, slow posting and mistake of an item are completely worth it!

I like vinted and have never had a problem with it.

Most people are good you just get the occasional twit.

Had an odd one, her profile pic was somebody younger than me. She didn’t send the item then asked me how to send it when she didn’t have a printer. I explained about using the digital label where you don’t need to print and the shop/post office do it for you. She didn’t do this either so I cancelled the order.

Having to pay to return items annoys me when the item is in a terrible state/not as described, but I’m mostly dressed head to foot in Vinted stuff post gastric surgery/11st loss. I’ve made some stupid buys which I promptly re-sell. Put two Next items up this morning, they sold within an hour, same for too short jeans last night.

An article online the other week says newly uploaded stuff gets shown first, so worth deleting and re-uploading stuff that hasn’t sold, maybe?

I sold 15/40 items in one day last week. A few dribs and drabs since then, but am considering putting them up as new ads tbh.

I only sell decent stuff like Monsoon, M&S or specialist brands in good natural fabrics and excellent condition. I'm not faffing about with £1 tops - charity shop scan reap the low value but high scale reward of the 6 bin bags I donated last week....

It's a shame the risk of being scammed is so high. I don't know anyone in real life that hasn't been scammed at least once on vinted. And when Vinted really don't care and profit off the customers scamming it means I don't want to but anything over £5. Going to uninstall it. Especially now eBay do free to sell.
