Normally go for Hendricks or Sipsmith but fancy a change.

I keep meaning to try the classic Tarquin's, @river2. I have the blackberry one, which makes lovely cocktails.

Caorunn gin is absolutely gorgeous, original or raspberry flavoured.

Gin Bothy gunshot infused gin. It is 👌

Botanist fan here too.

I love Warner’s rhubarb too

Throughabushbackwards · 27/04/2023 19:27

Bloom is lovely.

Brockmans
Tanqueury Orange doesn't stand a chance of lasting a weekend.

Harris or Malfy are my favourites. I have a soft spot for the Harris gin as we visited the distillery a few weeks ago.

Xoriguer is my favourite, but can be hard to get. I also love Aviation, which I can get at the supermarket, so that's the one I usually drink

I'm drinking a Xoriguer and tonic right now.

You 'just' have to go to Menorca or Mallorca (or possibly Ibiza but I've never been there) and it's in all the shops.

CheesePleaseLoueese · 27/04/2023 20:34

I love Plymouth gin too. Tastes amazing

The Lakes gin is really lovely, beautiful bottle too (nice whisky as well!)

I second Warners Rhubarb, with ginger ale. In fact I had one on the go just before I clicked on the thread

Rock Rose and Whitby gins are two of my favourites

What sort of flavours do you like, citrus, floral, strong juniper, herbal?

For basics: Bombay Sapphire or Tanqueray, can't go wrong.

Lemons: Malfy Con Limone, Bombay Sapphire do a lemon one that's very nice.
Pink grapefruit: Salcombe gin, Marylebone gin
Edinburgh gin and Whitley Neil do great flavoured gins.
Tarquins and Mermaid gins are just excellent, to be honest anything made in the south of the country seems to good - Tarquins is Cornish and the Cornish are GREAT at gin.
Roku, Gin Mare and Osmoz citrus are also fantastic.

I would personally avoid Opihr unless you are a fan of spiced stuff, ditto anything orange unless you really really like orange - it overpowers it.

Beetlewings · 27/04/2023 21:00

Aber Falls do the best gin.

TooBusyGazingAtStarss · 27/04/2023 21:05

Solway spirits do a great selection of random flavour gin. My favourite is raspberry ripple.. I like a sweet one. The Turkish Delight one they do is quite nice too. Check out the flavours in their website - there are LOADS!

DomingoinLittleOakley · 27/04/2023 21:05

I'm currently in love with Drumshambo Gunpowder Irish gin. They do a citrussy one too - delicious.

Boating123 · 27/04/2023 21:09

Harrogate Rhubarb gin is very good.

whitesnowflake · 27/04/2023 21:14

Harris Gin or Darnleys. I also enjoy Brewdog Gin - the original one.

Notanothernewname · 27/04/2023 21:15
