Can you recommend me a gin?

Normally go for Hendricks or Sipsmith but fancy a change.

Edinburgh rhubarb and ginger

Love Plymouth gin and the best bottle. Sort of 30s and solid. Still distilled in the Barbican, Plymouth.

Oooh I see some other mumsnet tees of taste and distinction have already recommended it.

Dockyard gin - made just by Chatham Dockyard and is lovely

Mermaid Zest gin (green bottle) is fabulous.

Xoriguer is my favourite, but can be hard to get. I also love Aviation, which I can get at the supermarket, so that's the one I usually drink

I like trying the Rock Rose special editions. At the moment, I'm enjoying their smoked orange gin.

Brockmans heaven in a glass add a slice of orange and a couple of blueberries perfect

Silent Pool, Carroun or Tanqueray 10 were my go to gins but recently tried Warners, lovely stuff.

There are a lot of bad ‘artisan’ gins out there. My baseline is Gordon’s, cheap but good, then going up the scale:

Bombay Sapphire, Plymouth, Tanqueray

Something more expensive (available in Waitrose) is Ramsbury Gin.
