What business is it of his even if he does have Irish ancestors. He should keep his nose out. it's really beginning to annoy me now. And he's not even there yet.

Keep his nose out of what OP? He has every right to visit any country he wishes, maybe you should keep your nose out of his business then you wont be so annoyed about what hes up to

Viviennemary · 13/04/2023 13:10

Poor old Biden. He is now in trouble for making a remark aboit beating the hell out of the Black and tans. You can't take him anywhere.

It's a pretty appalling mistake to make. Did he not also say "I might be Irish but I'm not stupid."

The guy should be in a home with full time carers.

JaneJeffer · 13/04/2023 13:18

Who said it was a mistake?

Florissante · 13/04/2023 13:21

Chickenkeev · 11/04/2023 23:33

I definitely agree there. He's far too old for the phyaical demands of it now.

His massive cognitive decline means that he's not up to the mental demands of the job, too.

The White House

JaneJeffer · 13/04/2023 13:22

Oh I forgot to add this 😜

Pseudonamed · 13/04/2023 13:27

Trump supporters will dine out on that one for years 🙄

So weird that a man from a country you’re not from is visiting another country you’re not from, and you’re angry about it.

Yep, it is very weird isn’t it?

I’ve also noticed some posters on here seem to be almost offended by Irish Americans’ enthusiasm for their heritage. If Irish people don’t mind (and they don’t seem to), I have no idea why anyone else would care.

MurderAtTheBeautyPageant · 13/04/2023 13:38

No offence, OP, but you're a name I recognise on MN as being permanently pissed off. Everything annoys you.

Switch off the news if it's upsetting you.

JaneJeffer · 13/04/2023 13:40

Yeah it's weird @Saschka. Their ancestors who had to say goodbye forever to their children in the worst of circumstances would be delighted to see their descendants thriving and returning to see where their people came from I'm sure.

Exasperatednow · 13/04/2023 13:41

Are you Irish?

Did you start a thread when Boris went to Ukraine? I don't understand the issue.

Boris hopped across to Ukraine (every time he needed an ego stroke) the way some people pop to Tesco.

Been a while since there was a 'goading of the Irish thread'.

GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin this poster has form for it, she/he is a nasty piece of work

Babasghost · 13/04/2023 14:06

I'm sick of hearing about it.
I'm in Roscommon, we were all geared up for letwomenspeakdublin on the 15th finally a chance to come together and speak about the utter shitty way Irish women are treated, it's cancelled because ZBiden might do a drive by.

It's to far to get to Belfast and so many women in Ireland utterly fed up.

Just piss off with your plastic paddy routine and pr stunts.

No mowlan did more than any of you and you nevervmention her.
Fucking typical sexist bastards.

Piss off home

JaneJeffer · 13/04/2023 14:09

How would employment levels be in Roscommon without American investment @Babasghost?

Well fed today so lol

Lol, if he were offering a trade deal with the UK there would be a far different attitude to Biden...

The sniffing at Biden here is equal parts ridiculous and pathetic.

Everyone else in RL seemed to think Biden did OK in NI. I liked his speech.

The youngsters in Belfast seemed very excited.

Been following it then OP? 😂

JaneJeffer · 13/04/2023 14:24

If I was to go trolling I'd at least try to type in a different style sometimes.

Chickenkeev · 13/04/2023 14:31

Will be interesting to hear the speech to the Dail later.

At obvious risk of having my arse handed to me on a plate here, but it would be nice to know if your opinion comes with a medical degree to back it up.

Even if he actually was in cognitive decline (he clearly isn't), he's still 1000 times more intelligent and articulate than his predecessor. I thought he came across very well in his speeches thus far. Especially given his age and the demands of his position.

Our primary industry is turf. It's local fuel sold locally.

Americanisation of our culture has led to serious child safeguarding concerns.

Not just the thousands of Irish children bought by Americans in the last 100 years by imprisoning vulnerable women and using church and state to act as brokers, but the hundreds if gay and autistic children now subject to lifelong medicalisation and sterilisation.
