Sorry just seen the update! Looks great! I’m jealous 😆

MrsBarbaraLangerhans · 11/04/2023 19:52

I do these occasionally, though the best ones sell out fast! Greggs was good, co-op ok and Starbucks cancelled my order as I was in the blooming queue to collect. Also had one from a couple of independents which were ok. I like the hit or miss factor!

XenoBitch · 11/04/2023 19:54

I get them from Costa, and a local cafe. My last Costa haul was 8 cakes, and they asked if I wanted another bag. Another time, I had 9 items, which was a combination of paninis and toasties.
I tend to only get them if I am seeing other people when I collect them, as I live alone and can't justify that amount of food just for me!

Not bad!

I've got the app, never been brave enough to use it though 🫣😂

Starlightstarbright1 · 11/04/2023 20:01

We have a bubble tea one near work I pick one up if I finish at the right time

Asiama · 11/04/2023 20:05

My bag from morrisons contained various soft drinks, and a ginormous box of cat food. We don't have a cat and don't drink many soft drinks so was disappointed

CeriB82 · 11/04/2023 20:15

I think its worth a try for £3! Just im rural and have to travel. Today was 30 mins but somewhere to take a bored teen. Ill try Morrisons next time which is 20 mins away.

We have had reasonable success with 2Good2Go bags from our local garage, we had sandwiches, salad boxes, pies, sausage rolls, sliced bread and cakes which have been great for an easy tea or supper.
One thing we were not keen on was a vegan pesto wrap thing which we tried and decided that if it was the last thing in the shop - we definitely wouldn't buy it!!
Family member has done Starbucks, Greggs, Tim Horton's and Aldi - didn't rate Aldi even though it was two enormous boxes of fruit and veg much of which was on the turn so felt not to be a good deal but Starbucks, Greggs and Tim Horton's were a real success - some were a bit stale but does it matter if had with a brew?

nomoredriving · 11/04/2023 20:18

Had three

Sushi - lovely

Costa - great

Starbucks - great

The last two not healthy, but DH and I had lunch for £2 each!

FannyFifer · 11/04/2023 20:48

Greggs do the best ones.
Starbucks was good but not stuff I liked.
Tim Hortons, decent.
M&S, weird things like crab sticks & other fish things.

Titsywoo · 11/04/2023 21:01

I don't bother with supermarket ones anymore but some places do great bags - Toby Carvery is good and we have a local sandwich shop and those are always great (tend to get 2 filled baguettes, 2 sarnies and 2 wraps for £4. Greggs is also good most of the time.

I've had mixed results
Costa-crappy cheese paninis and not much else. Starbucks-horrible vegetarian meaty mayonnaisey sandwiches. Waitrose-massive bag of nice stuff but it had to be eaten that night.

I got rid of the app because everything on it was either miles away, or if local, always sold out.
I was under the impression that it was leftovers at the end of the trading day that they were selling off, yet such as Gregg's were telling me on the app that the goodie bags were sold out at 09.30 that morning!
It was a waste of time.

Well it is the stuff left but people buy them in advance so this is pretty normal. You just check when they sell out most days and get in there 10 to 15 mins before that.

MojoJojo71 · 11/04/2023 21:12

I’m just about to go to pick one up from our local garage which has a Morrisons daily. Will report back soon! It’s raining so I hope it’s worth it!

I got a Morrisons bag this evening.

Got a big bag of stir fry veg and a packet of oak Choi (I have noodles already so will just purchase a meat that will last two meals and some sauce)

Some trimmed leeks and a bag of potatoes (soup another meal)
sweet potatoes
a punnet of luxury strawberries
a slice of pineapple
2 rectangular flatbreads
4 Easter bunny crumpets
asparagus spears
a punnet of plums

very impressed with my bag tonight ❤️

I was never very lucky with starbucks ones but the co op ones were good.

I deleted the app might try again with it

PreparationPreparationPrep · 11/04/2023 21:27

Mixed reviews - main ones we've used are

Oree Bakery- tends to be filled baguettes - which need to be eaten that day but by the evening not very appealing. Croissants ok if we warm them. Value for money - Good.

Ole & Steen - filled rolls as above. Yoghurt pots very nice, cakes some were ok / fresh juice .Value for money - Good

Planet organic - Sourdough loaf, buns, tofu, Vege spread, fresh juice. Value for money - excellent!

Pret- 3 X soups - Value for money - meh. Maybe off day as I usually love pret soups!

Local grocery store- lots of fruit / vegetables / herbs/ - Value for money - excellent !

Hit and miss as fresh bread is often dry by the end of the day. But we have been able to get some really good stuff so it's trial and error

Guiltypleasures001 · 11/04/2023 21:31

We get the co-op on Sunday nights so it's all the baked goods
Always a brilliant range whatever day
Costa etc their stuff is stale and expensive
Morrisons always huge bags of fruit and veg
But the co-op is always brilliant

MojoJojo71 · 11/04/2023 21:36

1 x Morrison’s ‘the best’ margherita pizza with pesto
1 x Morrisons stone bake meat feast pizza
1 x pack of falafels with houmous
1 x pack of fruit
1 x individual steak pie

original total price £12.49
yellow sticker total price £8.26

Too good to go price £3.29

not bad at all

Too good to go bags
Figgygal · 11/04/2023 21:39

Had a few - Starbucks pastries and veggie wraps all lovely
Greggs - crazy amounts of food
Soho - a wrap, a salad and a breakfast yoghurt pot - probably wouldn't go there again tbh
