Sitting in the garden

Is anyone currently sitting in their garden? I am after doing some gardening and all I hear is the gentle rumble of traffic and birds? What can you hear?

Gentle lapping of the water in the loch, some "peeps" from a couple of Oyster Catchers, and a buzz from an early (and enormous) bumble bee.

Distant small planes circling form the local small airfield, songbirds, and gently rustling leaves in the breeze

I’m sat in my hanging egg chair, reading my kindle and sipping on Diet Coke with ice. I can hear my Spotify playlist (hi Harry styles) and birds. Love it! I got changed into a dress too

I was planning to, but the farmer has just sprayed the field behind with shit and it smells gross.

Had planned to do this but since 10am the neighbour 2 houses away has been drilling the everloving shit out of something in his garden. I'd normally wave it off but the amount of drilling/hammering/sawing that house has had done to it in the past year is totally disproportionate to its size, I feel like there should be 3 new sheds and bespoke wooden cabinetry in every room by now.

...what the RSPB website says is a blue tit cheeping, but I don't believe it as I've only ever seen robins, wood pigeons and the odd blackbird in this garden.

Birds chattering away, the odd low flying bumble bee and the tractors running up and down the lane muck spreading.

I'm in the summerhouse in my garden as there is a bit of a breeze so despite being sunny it is deceptively cool. The doors are wide open though and as well as the radio playing on my speaker I can hear next door cutting their grass, some kids playing in the street, someone cutting wood or whatever he does in his workshop and, of course, the birds in the trees and bushes.

A pressure washer for the last 40 minutes 🤬

I could hear a neighbour a couple of doors away revving his bike but that's stopped now. Traffic in the distant and now some light aircraft thing

Just the birds and my 3 year old singing to himself whilst he deposits gravel everywhere. A few moments peace worth it though for the cleanup afterwards.

Yes, I am. We've just had a lovely long lunch with SIL and her partner, first outdoor meal this year I think. They've just gone so all I can hear now is birds and some music drifting from somewhere. It's glorious!

I'm not in the garden - I'm at my kitchen table, painting props for work. I have the back door, and big window, flung open though & can hear lots of bird chatter in the trees at the end of my garden.

Other than that, it's blissfully quiet apart from muted chatter from the girls who are upstairs, the fridge humming to itself, and the bin cleaner putting someone's bin back.

Seagulls, waves, lambs and Rocky robin telling the world that this is his garden.

Everyone around mowing and Strimming their grass. Have come in as I can't hear myself think!

Lawn mowers, power washers, birds, dogs barking and next doors kid SQUEALING for hours.

We’re sitting in the sun with a glass of wine after a morning of exercise and gardening. I can hear some bees and birds and a distant lawn mower. I’m in London!

We have a neighbour opposite that is constantly jet washing things, both of their cars, his driveway, windows etc. When I work from home, my desk is in my bedroom at the front of the house, facing his house. I was just about to join a very important Teams meeting one day and he chose that exact moment to start the hour long jet washing of his metal garage door
