Does anyone else feel insulted by the Tesco self service machines?

Whenever I but a bottle of wine, which happens often, a Tesco worker has to come over and press a button that says 'This customer is CLEARLY over 25'. Why so passive aggressive? Why not 'no id required from customer'. I know I look like a bag of shit buying my wine and crisps after a long week, the last thing I need is a dig from a computer that can't even weigh pick and mix properly.

Mine is the "place item in the bagging area" (also at Sainsburys' and at ours always seems broken). One particularly tiering day I answer out loud: "but it is in the blimin bagging area" took item on and off, when a kind cashier took pity of me and quietly called over - "it's ok Miss the light shows green, you can proceed" 🤣🤣🤣 clearly it turned green some time ago by then 🤷‍♀️

It's when a cashier checks for id , looks at you and just says 'oh' , never has so much meaning been put into one syllable 🤣

My sat nav has a thing for cobbled roads. Should we take the A road that will get us there in 30 minutes? Nah, let's shake ourselves to death and destroy the car on 5 miles of cobbled roads to save 86 seconds.

I nearly went through a red light yesterday because the google maps lady repeated her instruction that I should turn right at the junction.
My brain told me (for a second) that she was impatient that I hadn't responded to her straightaway, that she might feel unheard and disrespected if I didn't act.

Our future robot overlords won't need to be cyber-muscly like the Terminator. They will only need to be able to do an eyeroll.

The message that gets to me is Amazon's "Do you need help?" on its search result pages.
When I am frantically repeat-searching for the right present, the right gadget etc, the question starts to seem like a snarky way of suggesting that I might be having a mental breakdown.

Grin 😂

Na, alcohol is a mugs gsme anyway! The worst mind bending drug known to man, causes untold misery and destroys millions of lives every year. It keeps yoi poor and weak. Might as well flush your money down the drain. It's poison that destroys your braincells. But yeah be upset with Tesco's for making sure that it's not kids getting hold of this liquid drug in a fancy bottle

As OP forgot she had made this light-hearted thread after 12 hours, I doubt she will remember it at all five months later!

Well no I don't get insulted because I very much am CLEARLY over 25. I'm 56. If the machine said CLEARLY over 60 then I would be pissed off.
