.. measuring jugs 🙃

Any guesses what the food will arrive on? Plates or, erm, something else?!

Have you now been waiting over 30 mins for your food? That sucks

Not very Canadian of them.

I'd rather have good, boring service.

ClaraThePigeon · 01/04/2023 18:35

The reviews are great in spite of the unnecessary wankery. Hopefully the food proves to be worth the wait.

reesewithoutaspoon · 01/04/2023 18:41

The yellow one would make me heave. years of nursing and having to measure urine output in jugs like that. I just couldnt

Ooh can you post link to menu? I love reading them.

Earlier Los Vegas and Whitby were mentioned so I had a good drool at restaurant menus 🤣

Ellmau · 01/04/2023 18:41

Oh dear.

The self-consciously quirky place is always best avoided.

No, we've scarfed it now, was pretty good! Think there was some hold up in the kitchen. The waiter did come over twice and apologise.

I dare you to ask them who thought up the April fool for the serving suggestions. So they know you think it's a joke. It might be, it might not be....

FloozingThePlot · 01/04/2023 18:45

Ah baking tray! My money was on saucepan.

TheInterceptor · 01/04/2023 18:48

Is that salt in a light bulb?

Scoobydoobywho · 01/04/2023 18:48

Lots of swanky shops and so on now.

I read this as lots of wanky shops and thought isn't it just. 😄

TheChosenTwo · 01/04/2023 18:49

The yellow liquid in the jug looks like cooking oil 🤢
I’m a fan of quirky glasses but that’s a step too far. Dh gets irked when his food is served on a board and asks for a plate - he’d not cope well with this 😂

Did the dishwasher break so they had no glasses for the drinks?!

PussBilledDuckyPlait · 01/04/2023 18:51

Drinks in measuring jugs look like something you'd do when you were a student and hadn't washed up for two weeks and then someone came back unexpectedly for a nightcap.

I’d love a drink out of a ceramic shark.

I bought these from dunelm a while ago

https://www.dunelm.com/product/pineapple-glass-1000200956

use them as small vases.

That makes sense. Mine was more like this:

I'm out to lunch and our drinks have just arrived in

Toilet roll or if you're very lucky maybe even kitchen roll.😂

We made cocktails in a teapot when I was a student.

diddl · 01/04/2023 19:03

No pics of the food?

704703hey · 01/04/2023 19:03

ClaraThePigeon · 01/04/2023 18:53

Brilliant, thank you 😋

JML001 · 01/04/2023 19:04

Oh jeepers no that's rotten 🤢

BertaHoon · 01/04/2023 19:07

OMG 🤣

I do like a nice pyrex jug though.

Nick em!

GnomeDePlume · 01/04/2023 19:07

On the plus side at least these were food grade receptacles.

It does bother me when things get served on/in things which were never designed for food. Not all plastics are food safe and slates etc are not designed to be cleaned to a food service standard.

one looks like one of those 24hr urine collections ! It’s a bit clinical / basic rather than edgy

That's what I thought - yuch !
