Is something big going on… conspiracy theory related

Thisisbig · 29/03/2023 10:41

Ok hear me out….

the following things have put me a little bit on edge:

  • emergency alert trial from government (yes I know it’s been spoken about for years)
  • a few asteroids flying “close” and reported in press
  • A few solar/planet events… eg holes in sun creating solar winds, northern lights being so far down south, weird planetary alignments
  • nasa being able to defect the path of an asteroid in the last 6 months
  • the constant threat of nuclear war
  • chatter a few months ago about weird spy balloons and possibility of aliens?!

I can’t help but shake the feeling that some people “higher up” know something that us little folk don’t know yet and that we are being primed.

I am fully prepared to be told I’m crackers! 🤣

"Why would someone like Elon musk want AI to stop ? I found that strange as you would think he would be for more of it ?"

Because he got out and nobody else can be The Thing.

Dymaxion · 30/03/2023 20:12

"Why would someone like Elon musk want AI to stop ? I found that strange as you would think he would be for more of it ?"

There were hundreds of people who signed the open letter, he is just one of the most famous, maybe its a stunt, maybe he has shares in Chinese tech, who knows ?

America12 · 30/03/2023 20:23

You can turn the emergency alert off. I have.

Brackenfield · 30/03/2023 20:50

Well yes, climate and biodiversity breakdown means the weather is going to get wildly more dangerous, hence the emergency alert system

changeme4this · 30/03/2023 20:52

Not in the uk however they brought in the emergency alert system where I live. As a poster said upthread, is possibly could cause major panic. The last official alert we received wouldn’t have affected us at all, so I think if that sort of thing continues, people will just start to ignore them.

I too agree if there was some big unfortunate event that was known by those at the top, it wouldn’t be a secret. However I will say when I can in board as moderator in a social media group, I was given a big spiel about deleting mis information to stop the spread. The advice wasn’t specific but was aimed at only allowing publication from “official” sources.

I have travelled enough in the world to know that official sources are not always the correct ones to be hearing from in regards to the truth…

Dymaxion · 30/03/2023 20:59

I have travelled enough in the world to know that official sources are not always the correct ones to be hearing from in regards to the truth…

And I have lived long enough in this country to know that sometimes misinformation is spread by foreign actors for nefarious reasons.

snowbellsxox · 30/03/2023 21:07

I stayed in America for a while, they have the emergency alerts set up ie if a child goes missing.

Might stop all those Facebook posts lol seems to be loads recently

AmberMcAmber · 30/03/2023 21:26

Im pretty sure I read somewhere (but could have been BS so someone actually qualified please correct me) but apparently there are changes to the earths magnetic field that happen periodically, the mayans predicted the next one would be from 2012 which is why their calendars finished then as it would be the start of a new age… this aligns with other ancient civilisations too - in that there were huge shifts in human civilisation/development in line with these shifts (literally thousands of years apart) eg pyramids being built around the world despite modern science not fully understanding how they did it, switching to farming from hunter gatherers etc

re nuclear war, modern humans are dicks

@HappyHolidai i have a job thanks, and a pretty decent one too. And I have a degree. I’m not just sat at home posting on mumsnet 24/7

my job, life and study taught me to ask questions… even if they seem silly

So glad you put HappyHolidai straight. I hate the MN keyboard cowards and their shitty, witless comments. But I have no idea about the conspiracies lol 🤣

Mamanyt · 31/03/2023 00:15

The emergency alert trial is just that, a trial. Presumably they want to check that they can target an alert to a specific area so when they really need to use it (e.g. risk of flooding, power cut etc) they are confident it will work.

Asteroids are always flying 'close' to us, and as the detection methods improve it's hardly surprising that more are being picked up.

Solar flares are not uncommon and increase as the sun goes through it's well tracked 11-year cycle.

The threat of nuclear war is tiny compared to the 70s and 80s, guess what - those of us who went through survived.

The 'spy' balloons thing was over and done with in a week, no doubt it'll be 'spy dolphins' or something next.

The higher-ups couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery without help from people who actually know what they are doing, and the chance of them keeping it secret is pretty well nil.

Yes, and yes, all the way down the line. While I understand the desire to link things like this together and try to make it one thing (we are wired to search for patterns), none of this is really new. Governments are always testing systems, things fly through space, the sun flares in a predictable pattern.

The idea that there is a worldwide, and it would have to be worldwide, governmental conspiracy of silence about something so large is laughable. Too many players on this one. Can you see ANY British PM, German PM, and the President of the USA conspiring with Putin at this point? And there are 100s of differing political leaders who would love to release information just to piss off their enemies.

Just because several cars of the same color are parked next to each other in a car park doesn't mean that they all belong together. It isn't a "parking conspiracy." Just the luck of the draw. But, as I said, we are hard-wired to look for patterns, even when one does not exist. It is very similar to pareidolia.

Ladybird69 · 31/03/2023 01:29

@Thisisbig have you watched the film Don’t look up with Leonardo Di Caprio? Take a look

Thatladdo · 31/03/2023 01:34

Yes.
I cant go into detail here but PM me your bank details and i can tell you more 🙄

Mothership4two · 31/03/2023 04:35

I'm sure there are lots that people “higher up” know something that us little folk don’t know yet just look back at history and you don't have to go that far back either. But little green men? Umm no

re nuclear war, modern humans are dicks

I have read that too, it’s about now everything reverses as far as the planet goes.

perfectly normal apparently. Not supposed to change anything much.

I assume that means humans will remain their normal moron selfs at times.

nuttynet · 30/03/2023 19:20

What emergency alert? I didn't get one

That's because the next planned test is on Sunday 23rd April.

Snaketime · 31/03/2023 09:31

It sounds like you have been watching 2012 OP. Yes your crackers.

Magnoliainbloom · 31/03/2023 09:42

The only thing that made me go Hmm Confused was the alert system. I suspect Putin related rather than asteroid. I do think the gubberment is planning for a major event.

MibsXX · 31/03/2023 09:50

There WAS a disaster film where the rich arseholes were building arks to survive huge floods... built using money gained from overtaxing fuel, food etc from populations across the world, have to admit similar thoughts have been crossing my mind lately, especially with the shennanigans from our government who seem to happily be getting away with all personal financial gain issues, and its other governments too doing very similar.... I am scaping by one day at a time right now, on bones of arse frequentl;y skipping meals and sat in dark cold with no power, it will definately not surprise me at all if something big did occur, I just hope their Arks or whatever fail on them lol, karma and all

MevBrown · 31/03/2023 10:58

Two things about politicians:

  1. they love secrets, so you always have to ask - what aren't they telling us?
  2. they are almost always incompetent, so you have to ask - what have they swept under the carpet?
EMERGENCY ALERT: NATO's secretary General have told nato countries to prepare their forces for civil unrest. Disrupted supply chains is causing high prices in energy and scarcity in food (which will lead to much higher prices).

There are already food crisis & riots in many countries. And this list will grow over the next 2-3 years. It is worth googling it.

ASTEROIDS: I don't think there is anything new asteroid-wise. Asteroids mostly burn up in the atmosphere, but there are plenty that land with spectacular effect - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/RoDeDqU61fs

NUCLEAR WAR: Regarding the war in Ukraine, I draw the parallel with the Cuban missile crisis. In 1962 JFK threatened the Soviets with a nuclear war if they deployed nukes in Cuba. The soviets backed down. Nuclear war averted. Phew!

Biden & Harris were talking up Ukraine joining nato as late as 22 February 2022. Google it. They clearly didn't think Putin would kick-off. Recent events have clearly shown otherwise. There are two aspects to this:

  1. The deployment of American nukes in Ukraine. As I said, I see the parallel with the Cuban missile crisis. Google it. Indeed, many may remember the Greenham common protests in the UK.
  2. America wants a missile defence complex... Really?? As I said, never underestimate the incompetence of western leaders.
SPY BALOONS: This does not pass the sniff test. First, why wait until the balloons were over the east coast before shooting them down? Second, technically, the Chinese should have asked permission - why didn't they? Third, what would spy balloons learn that Chinese satellites could not? It makes little sense.

BANK CRISIS: In the wider context, my main concern is the banks. Western leaders are telling us that bank failures are isolated events. When I am seeing is there are systemic problems in western banks. Many will recall the Greek banking crisis in 2015, when people could only withdraw £40 a day, or so. Or the 2013 Cyprus banking crisis when people with uninsured money lost a big chunk of their cash. And I would not rely on the insurance anyway.

I don't know for certain what will happen in the coming weeks and months, but if there are further bank failures - I am prepared for the worst.

so, no, you are not crackers...

DogInATent · 31/03/2023 11:05

Lots, if they're listening rather than looking.

Depending on the source, news from the Alt-Media should be taken with a pinch of salt. But, it seems US banks want the ability to restrict bank withdrawals and transfers via online banking and mobile phone apps - and it seems US banking regulators may support this.

If this turns out to be true, it is a real concern.
If true, and this comes to the UK, the EuroZone & the EU...
...this is a red light flashing in our faces🔴

Can you cite a source for this please? All I can find is that during the pandemic the fed relaxed regulations on how many withdrawals you could take from your savings account before having to pay a penalty fee. Thanks!

ellyeth · 31/03/2023 19:32

I feel similarly suspicious - not particularly about aliens or UFOs but about what plans might be afoot here.

I think calling people "crackers" for not being entirely trusting of governments is rude and unnecessary. There have been lots of occasions in history when the wool has been pulled over people's eyes.
