Does your man like pamper nights?

My lovely DP just walked in from golf and asked if we can do a pamper night tonight. Face masks, teeth whitening, pedicure and waxing his beard. I think it's really sweet and makes my heart melt. Anyone else's man like this behind closed doors?

Dh no, but ds29 does them with his girlfriend.

Yes, I’m imaging the OP’s bloke looking like this, only wearing golfing plus fours with a single white glove in his ass pocket.

I don't think it's seen as a Pamper Night as much as essential grooming (and probably an element of mammalian instinct/pair bonding) and self care.

Now, my ex would have been disgusted at the idea, but he turned out to be deeply closeted homophobic/racist and thought that white masculinity meant skanky nails, skin and hair and women who wore nail varnish, especially on their toes and dared to wear sandals were (his words) 'council estate whores'.

DW wanted to try a spa day, which included a massage. Was quite nice as a one off. Big fluffy robes etc, and a much nicer pool than the usual council one. Shan't do it again rigid though.

Hygiene equals yes
Pamper equals no

DH will do a face mask every so often but that's about it.

Golf is an automatic fanny-clamper, as far as I’m concerned.

He loves a back massage and a foot tickle but wouldn't be seen dead doing a face mask or anything like that or using the word pamper.

Oh gosh no, this wouldn’t happen in our house. The only ‘pampering’ either of us indulge in is having a shower and cutting our nails. Don’t think you could really make an ‘evening’ out of that.

At first I was thinking ‘no way’but I think it’s ‘no way’ to the procedures you mention. Then I remembered that in distant past we have done couple spa days a few times when we were in nice hotels. I can’t really imagine doing it now though although maybe we should! I couldn’t be arsed with a homemade one though. It would be too much like hard work. Yes Iam lazy unless highly motivated.
Slight aside - I’ve been to two medical specialists recently- both men and very nice and down to earth. They both had beautiful nails - they must have had manicures.Is this a thing now for middle aged men or just doctors maybe because they are examining people and are conscious of their hands? No shade at all - they looked well.
