Shopping in the past

I'd love to go back in time 20/25 years to do my food shop. Not just for the prices but to find:

Sweetener free soft drinks.
Easter Eggs that you crack open to find the chocs inside.
The original lovely cadburys chocolate in purple foil. And kit kits in foil. All chocolate in foil, it just tasted better.
Salt & vinegar crisps that made your eyes water.
Toffee ripple ice cream.

I also miss having camera film processed whilst doing my shopping and excitedly opening the envelope in the car. Definitely rose tinted specs here as I can remember it costing £4/£5 for each film to be processed plus a few quid for the film - and half the photos were crap 😆

Any more?

Icebreaker - a chocolate bar with cold minty taste. The bright turquoise foil was eye catching. 1979’s.

Aqua Libra - cool summer drink made with water, passion fruit, herbs. Trendy label. 1980’s.

Acqua Libra! I used to buy that all the time. They should relaunch it. It would be perfect for Instagram

Heinz vegetable salad in a tin.

I'm of Eastern European extraction and have slaved for decades trying to make a decent vegetable salad. The Heinz one was lovely.

That stuff was amazing!! The closest thing I've found to it is this.

I loved Icebreaker (I love minty things). Was talking about it at work the other day with my similarly-aged colleagues, but no one else could remember it!

Marks and Spencer chicken tikka sandwiches - the height of sophistication!

Individual chocolate or coffee flavour desserts with a cream topping, Lidl and Aldi always sold them in six-packs but I haven't seen them for ages.

French style set yoghurts

Flavours that aren't salted caramel.
