Its all a bit baronial for my liking and I'm expecting Henry VIII to burst through the door at any moment. The kitchen probably cost a fortune but wow, it's horrible. Lot's of money and no taste.

Roundaboot · 24/03/2023 14:20

It's like a mash up of a stately home and barn conversion
I am coveting the office though, I'd love a desk like that!

FurElise · 24/03/2023 14:22

My inner Italian countess thinks it's fabulous but in reality it would be so much nicer without all the tat (flea-bitten bear and suits of armour - and that mannequin on the mezzanine 😱) and 75% of the oak.

Meanwhile, in London the highest priced property on RM is a bloody flat at £60 million.

That swimming pool is attractive but there's not much natural light for £60 million. 🤔

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 24/03/2023 14:26

I'm sure it was on last year and it was owned by Steve Davis. If it wasn't it was very similar.

Deathraystare · 24/03/2023 14:26

Nope. too dark and busy. I do like the gardens!

Tabitha005 · 24/03/2023 14:36

Bluevelvetsofa · 24/03/2023 09:08

A perfect blend of bad taste and far too much money.

@Bluevelvetsofa 100% It's just horrible from top to bottom.

WhoStoleMyTiddyOggy · 24/03/2023 14:37

It's very American & quite strong in style. I'd sayt the chances of someone wanting to keep that interior are zero. Maybe it'll just get knocked-down & someone will build a more modern project.

Rosula · 24/03/2023 14:45

I'll take it, if they knock £14.5 million off the price to allow for a complete refurb.

BellatrixLestrangesHeatedCurlers · 24/03/2023 14:46

I want to live in it and lounge about in velvet robes, calling for a lute player. Genuinely it's like my dream house.

joyshortage · 24/03/2023 14:48

SkankingWombat · 24/03/2023 11:27

I had to scroll down to check it was in the UK. It looks like how Americans think upper class British homes look. The exterior is lovely, and the inside could be really nice if dialled back a bit.

Exactly this, it reminds me of the homes you see in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

BellatrixLestrangesHeatedCurlers · 24/03/2023 14:49

omg even better they have a DJUNGELSKOG bear in one of the photos. These people have taste.

Ginmonkeyagain · 24/03/2023 14:52

@vera99 Peope buying flats in One Hyde Park are not living in them.

Dreadful place for dreadful people

NeverTrustAPoliceman · 24/03/2023 14:54

Is that an actual dead bear in picture 28?

The whole house is tacky in a rather fascinating way.

SallySunrise · 24/03/2023 14:55

I love it! Though for 15 million I'd want a pool.

LoobyDop · 24/03/2023 15:02

They like their giant bears, don’t they?

I can’t help kind of liking it, but I wouldn’t admit that in real life. But what’s with the dining chairs with rings in the back? They were everywhere when we were looking recently, and I don’t see the appeal at all. Why are they a thing, what are they supposed to do?

PolkaDotMankini · 24/03/2023 15:03

They must get through a tonne of washing to need 2 washing machines and tumble dryers.

Nothing like a bonkers house to look at...only £15m
KatherineJaneway · 24/03/2023 15:08

I love it, especially the kitchen😍

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 24/03/2023 15:24

I could easily make use of 2 machines and 2 driers to be honest.

SourPuss1968 · 24/03/2023 15:25

Bluevelvetsofa · 24/03/2023 09:08

A perfect blend of bad taste and far too much money.

Ha ha! This usually manifests itself by people buying white SUVs, but this person has taken it to another level!

mrswhiplington · 24/03/2023 15:32

The only relevant bit to me was the staff quarters. That's probably where I'd end up working. 😁

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 24/03/2023 15:35

I love it but not even on the property ladder yet and nearly 42! 🤣

namechangeforthispoint · 24/03/2023 15:56

Urgh. Bad taste.

Pearfacebananapoop · 24/03/2023 16:04

Imagine the randoms turning up at the open house just for a gawp - I may join.

I bet it also has a secret red room of pain somewhere...
