Fairly closely related to an ex-prime minister. He’s an insufferable arsehole.

Isn't that every Prime Minister, ever?

AnyoneElse1982 · 23/03/2023 22:44

Yes a politician (not English) and a singer (not English).

Fernticket · 23/03/2023 22:45

Distant cousin of a famous playwright.

PS. I'm Spartacus 🤣🤣

Please let it be Jo Brand. I love her.

Can't be Jo Brand. A comedian is generally someone funny.

Kidding (kinda) 💗🤣

I'm apparently related to Edward III - not sure that counts though.

Possibly related to Sir Francis Dereham (the one who had an affair with Katherine Howard) mum is still trying to find proof of that relationship.

I think a lot of the population is descended from Edward III.

According to British geneticist Adam Rutherford, it is "virtually impossible" that a person with a predominantly British ancestry is not descended from Edward III.[2] He has calculated that "almost every Briton" is "descended between 21 and 24 generations from Edward III".[3]

I’ve name changed for this. In doing my family tree this year, I’m related to a famous photographer. He was best known for taking pics of the Rolling Stones and also he took the photo on the front cover of the Beatles album “Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band”.

deffo the coolest person in our family. Sadly he died quite a while ago but my third cousin has some good stories about him.

spellingtest · 23/03/2023 22:47

My son went to the same school as the lead singer of the Script.

My ex father in law was the personal lawyer of Ronnie Woods

My mother is related to a famous Edinburgh artist (can't remember his bloody name though!)

I had a gallery that was opened by Alan Titchmarsh.

I could go on.....

BluebellBlueballs · 23/03/2023 22:47

It's about 8 degrees of separation so related is stretching it but here goes

My sister in laws stepmothers sister's ex husband was a beatle!

jibbe · 23/03/2023 22:47

Andrew Carnegie

Lovethatforyou · 23/03/2023 22:48

My best friend’s fella is an actor… West End mainly.

gabsdot45 · 23/03/2023 22:49

I might be a 4th cousin to Liam Neeson. My 3rd great granny was a Neeson from Belfast so .........

Vivario · 23/03/2023 22:50

DH’s family is convinced that a radio presenter called Lucie Cave is his long lost Auntie. His Grandad left his Grandma and had a baby girl with someone else before dropping completely off the radar. The age, name and home town fits perfectly apparently, but the radio presenter doesn’t share any family information online and the family won’t reach out to ask her so I guess they’ll never know🤷‍♀️

I'm gonna go with GB. I've met him, and he fits the description as provided by @Lbnc2021.

About 15/16 years ago I was proposed to by a relative of Donald Trump. Trump's mother and my suitor's mother were cousins. I'm not sure if that makes them second cousins?

Anyway, it was when Trump was merely a 'Billionaire' and not a power-crazed, Tango'd, freak show of a POTUS.

Dodged that bullet. 😂

Maybe you caught him on a bad day. My dad did a bit of repair work for him, said he was surprised how nice he was. They had a chat, he seemed reserved/shy but a genuinely decent bloke.

Zone2NorthLondon · 23/03/2023 22:52

YES

Neverplayleapfrogwithmrpipes · 23/03/2023 22:53

My great grandad captained the Welsh rugby team many times.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 23/03/2023 22:54

I’m a distant relative of Robert Burns.

WordtoYoMumma · 23/03/2023 22:55

I'm related to David "Kid" Jensen. We share a birthday too (not the same year)

TheFormidableMrsC · 23/03/2023 22:56

I was once married to someone whose father is a well known actor. I couldn't believe how rude and entitled the general public were, not everybody of course, but the amount of people who would interrupt a meal or assume that he'd "get a round in" or people who couldn't differentiate between a character and an actor. Not a job I'd want!

Neverplayleapfrogwithmrpipes · 23/03/2023 22:57

I am also related to one of the members of a 90s dance music duo. They had several very well known songs.

handsoffate · 23/03/2023 22:57

Yes, a fairly notorious ex-athlete (related by marriage) and an arty type who is famous in a fairly niche area. DS is related to a musician.

Giggorata · 23/03/2023 22:58

A cousin was a famous prog rock star in Australia. He is dead now. I never met him, unfortunately.

Zuffe · 23/03/2023 22:59

I think Shrek is my dad. My brother looks just like him.

handsoffate · 23/03/2023 22:59

Dh, not ds!

Famous for all the wrong reasons. My 1st boyfriend was a serial killer. Yes, I was in a 'relationship' with him when the crime was committed.
No, I didn't have any idea, I was just 16 when it happened & almost 18 when convicted.
Took me 15 + years of various unhealthy coping mechanisms & therapy to be where I am today.

You poor thing.

I wasn't expecting something like this to come up.
