And I just ran away...
I did not handle it in a mature manner or alert anyone to it. So those poor cafe staff are just going to come across a big pool of blood.
Luckily it was a plastic coated sofa/bench type seat so I imagine they will be able to clean it easily.
I didnt notice until id stood up to leave and glanced back to see if id left anything at the table.. and the cafe was full so it would've been very obvious if id walked back and started cleaning it. And I realised I must also be drenched in blood so I just ran away...
I ran away, I ran all the way home.
I feel bad. I shouldve acted like an adult and just taken the hit and walked back to the sofa to clean it.
Its my local cafe as well and I go in there alot and they will know I was the one sitting there...
I can never go in there again can I?
I'm 35 years old. I also had like a full night time sanitary towel on that id literally only just put on fresh so I do not know how that happened.... I just gushed so much blood everywhere suddenly... I kind of felt it happen but thought it was fine, didnt realise how much there was and that it had soaked thru everything!! Grim.

I don't judge you for not telling staff. I like to think I would have attempted a 30 sec clean up job but I've never been in that position (overnight sanitary towels + incontinence knickers).

I feel your pain. Similar happened to me, but in a hire car with three male colleagues. 😱

You poor thing. When it happened to me in my husband's colleague's car, I was wearing a mini skirt , which had a tiny stain that didn't really show. We were going for a cup of tea in the man's house and I was planning to explain to the wife. But when we got in there she was in a sari, spoke no English, and was treated a bit like a servant by her husband. I managed to use their loo and wad up loo paper, and when her husband left the room I told my husband, who made an excuse and went out and cleaned the seat. This was in the early 70s when things were very different . In our village shop I had asked the owner for a packet of sanitary towels, and he had whispered "I'll ask one of the ladies to serve you". She did, producing them from behind the counter wrapped in brown paper. Later on my first visit to a little supermarket, I was embarrassed to have to put loo rolls in the trolley, as they had always been wrapped for me as well!
