What people can you remember being really popular at one point, and then seemed to drop out of existence?

A lot of older actors do direct to DVD/streaming movies that you never really hear about, Bruce Willis was famous for doing them until recently, looking at imdb he's done 26 direct to video movies since his last cinematic release in 2019. Nicholas Cage, John Travolta, John Cusack among others do similar.

Ade Edmondson was also in Eastenders a few years ago and in ' back to life ' on bbc one.
I often go ' it's him ' or ' it's her ' when you see old actors from the 80s or 90s crop up!

He also captained the Manchester team on Christmas University Challenge a couple of years ago. It was great to see him again.

does anyone remember Bob carolgees and Spit the dog or am I showing my age! whatever happened to him? Hope hes not dead. He came to mind for me yesterday as I held my little dog under my arm whilst he was growling at someone. luckily he didn't spit though lol.

Up until the Pandemic he ran a candle shop in Cheshire. He is still around and often in the local pubs.
Not sure about Spit though

It's only been through this thread that I've realised that when female celebrities go quiet, I think "Oh I wonder if she's had a child" whereas with male celebs I think "I wonder what he got caught doing"

Is that a different Zoe Ball to the one who presents the radio 2 breakfast show with millions of listeners?

I've come to the conclusion that all this thread is demonstrating is that lots of posters don't keep up with celeb news 😀
